Louis William Jungers, 74, of Helena, passed away unexpectedly June 2, 2011 from a long-term battle with lung and heart complications. He was born to Louis and Margaret Jungers on May 24, 1937 in Helena.
Louis earned his G.E.D. and then went to serve in the Army in the 92nd Airborne. After the Army, he worked as a boilermaker. He traveled all around the United States with his job as a boilermaker.
Louis married “Muffy” Linda Jungers on November 18, 2008 in Helena. They had been together for close to 20 years.
Louis used to love to hunt, fish, go camping, and go four-wheeling. He loved spending time in the mountains with his friends and family. His favorite spot to go was the mountains up in Marysville. He loved to go out with his kids and family picking asparagus and mushrooms.
He is survived by his wife, “Muffy” Linda Jungers of Helena; sons, Richard, Danny and Jesse Jungers; as well as his three step-children, Jay (Finch) Foster, Micheal Finch, and Morgen Finch. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jaren, Malik, Michael, Josh, and Tara Jungers, Jeremiah Foster, Kayden and Myha Fayant, Brandon Demers, and Gaige Kelly; as well as several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a son.
A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 8th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Ft. Harrison.
