In the early morning of 11/10/13, Louise Ann “Weeze” Ford passed away of natural causes. Louise was 71 years old and was born in Seattle, Washington on 03/09/42. She was the only child of Thomas Blaine and Elizabeth Lucille Coffelt. Louise retired after 22 years of service from the State of Montana Auditor’s Office. Mom was proudly an enrolled member of the Samish Indian Nation of Anacortes, Washington. Mom and Dad (Farrell “Mike” Ford—who had passed away only 12 days prior) were soul mates and had a very special marriage of over 53 years. Mom always gave great advice and believed you should “never go to bed mad” and “always kiss each other good night”.
Mom loved and was a collector of many things, such as dolls and antiques. She enjoyed going with her family to car shows, swap meets, and races. She loved baking (her chocolate chip cookies were everyone’s favorite) and cooking, sewing, yellow roses, and being a loving mother and wife. Mom may have been small in stature but if you knew her, you knew her personality could fill a room!
Louise devoted her life to taking care of her husband and family. Louise’s children, granddaughters, and great- grandchild were the light of her life. Louise was always willing to lend a helping hand, and touched many others’ lives. Louise treasured her friends from the Auditor’s Office, exercise class, the Episcopal Church bargain basement and many other activities. She enjoyed keeping in touch with many life-long friends. Mom left us too soon, and she will be greatly missed.
Louise is survived by daughter Elizabeth “Libby” Ford Goodwin; son F. Matthew Ford; granddaughter Kathryn, “Katie”, Joy Goodwin (Justin) McDaniel; granddaughter, Amanda Goodwin (Josh) Obergfell; and great-granddaughter Madalyn Joy McDaniel. Louise is survived by sister-in-law Cheryl Ford (John) Favazza, sister-in-law Charlotte Ford, and nieces and nephews of Maryland; and cousin Jacqueline Bohn of Anacortes. Louise is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Farrell J. Ford. Louise is survived by special friends Ed and Karyn Jenkins and children David, Kevin and god-daughter Stephanie; Ellen Weg and god-daughter Kristin Weg; Buzz Rose and family; Judy and Jack Hazzard; Whit Hibbard; and so many special friends Mom made throughout her life.
Louise has been cremated and will be interred at Spokane Riverside Mausoleum at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests to make a donation to the charity of your choice. Louise’s family is thankful for all the love and support during this past month. Your kindness and love means so much to her and her family. Rest in peace, Mom, we love you.
