In Memory Of

Lucas H. Beavers, age 37 of Helena

December 23, 1975 – August 11, 2013

“He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces…”

-Isaiah 25:8

Lucas Beavers was born in Missoula, Montana on December 23, 1975 to Donald and Sharon Beavers who served as Pioneers for Jehovah.  Lucas later moved to Davis, California where he met and married his wife of 18 years, Margaret Beavers.  They were married on February 10, 1996.  In 1999 their only son, Jamal Beavers was born.  Lucas was a loving very hands-on father and cared for his family very much.  He also raised 3 beautiful step-daughters who he loved and protected.

Lucas (known as Luke to his friends and family) graduated from Davis High School.  Lucas had an affinity for the elderly and disabled who could not care for themselves.  He worked for a retirement home for several years in Davis.  He also cared for his son-in law’s mother after she suffered a stroke.  He became a foster parent and cared for a child born with severe disabilities.  After moving to Helena, he worked for an in-home healthcare company.  He also served the elderly and disabled in operating his own private business.

Lucas was baptized one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on January 9, 1993.   He was a loving, devoted, and protective husband; father, brother, son, and friend.  He loved Jehovah and being in his outdoor creation, hunting, and spending time with his family, especially his son Jamal.  Of course, Lucas is most known for his for loving attitude, warm smile, big heart, and incredible sense of humor.  He loved his spiritual brothers and sisters and appreciated their love and kindness.  Lucas wasn’t a small man so a brother nicknamed him the enforcer because he said Luke would protect him while they were out in service together.  Although we understand Jehovah is our protector, it was an enduring title Lucas joyfully treasured.

Lucas is survived by wife Margaret Beavers, son Jamal Beavers, brother Shane Beavers, grandmother Peggy Huey, father Donald Beavers, step-mother Sandy Beavers; step-children Bianca, Chardonnay, and Jamika; mother-in-law Sarah Chaka, father in-law Leneal Taylor, and many cousins, extended family members, and friends.  He is predeceased by his mother Sharon Beavers.

Even more, Lucas was much loved by his family and fellow brothers and sisters.  Lucas loved animals and leaves behind his cats, Watson and Pepper, and several chickens who will surely miss his presence and care.

The Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 3:30pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 21 Colonial Drive, Helena, MT. To offer condolences or share a memory of Lucas, please visit below.

We will all miss him very much.

“And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore…”

Revelation 21:4

Special thanks to Lois Meehan, Ruth Burchette, Felicia Renault, Lori Ulig, Alice Crofts and Family, and Terrie Baril for helping take such good care of me in this time of sorrow.  Also thanks for the many who send their acts of love, condolences and prayers.

Luke will truly be remembered by me and my family. He was very much a part of our lives while he lived in Davis, CA. He had the best sense of humor of anyone I have ever met, he was supportive and caring. Luke will not be forgotten. My thoughts and condolences go out to his family.

My condolences to the Beavers family. My thoughts and prayers go out to your whole family. Psalms 147:3 says God, “is healing the broken hearted ones, and is binding up their painful spots.” May Jehovah bring you comfort and peace.
