Mamie R. Erickson age 77, of Elliston

Mamie Rose Erickson, 77, of Elliston, passed away on Wednesday September 28, 2016 at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula of cardiac arrest.

She was born February 27, 1939 in Missoula, to Charles Hugo Crumb and Lucille Evelyn Peterson. As a child, she loved to spend time in Kooskia, Idaho with friends and family. She was a high school graduate.

Mamie was a fond member of Elliston where she spent most of her later years. She loved her garden. She admired watching the birds on her feeders and taking in stray cats.

A loving mother and great grandmother, she loved her family and community. She was preceded in death by her daughter Laureen J. Simmons and brother Ryland Crumb. She leaves behind her son Willie and his wife Patty, Helena; Grandchildren Michael Langley, Helena; Apryl Saksa (Joshua), Helena; Tony Simmons, Billings; Great Grandchilren Ryland and Adalyn Saksa, Helena; Sister Mary Cato, Elliston; and two nephews and one niece.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Monday October 3^rd at Retz Funeral Home, 315 E. 6^th Ave. A Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4^th at the Elliston School Gymnasium, 205 W. Main Street. A Graveside Service will follow at the Elliston Cemetery. A potluck reception will follow the service back at the Gymnasium.
