Mickey along with hubby Ed will always be long remembered among the ‘bright lights’ of the city of East Helena. Together and individually their efforts and contributions are simply too numerous to list. Mickey’s ready smile was a pleasure whenever I saw here. I waited on her many times over the years when I worked at East Helena IGA (downtown). A remarkable life, well done, Mickey!

Mickie and Ed were constant fixtures at the Husky station in East Helena when we moved to East Helena as a young couple in 1972. We didn’t have two nickles to rub together and were driving an old International Scout – the passenger seat was an optional extra. Mickie and Ed took us under their wing, providing advice on everything from car maintenance to fishing. They introduced us to East Helena as well as Helena and made us feel so welcome. It seems like they always had a pot of coffee and friends visiting when we filled up in the morning. So glad that Mickie got to be with her daughter after Ed passed. We remember them both with such sweet memories.
