Margaret M. Goodian, 81, of Helena, died of natural causes Saturday January 1, 2011 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena.
She was born on November 19, 1929 in Havre to Christopher J. and Mattie (Miller) Nolan. Margaret was raised in Box Elder and graduated from Box Elder High School in 1947. She married Kenneth Goodian on Sept. 20, 1947 and during their 46-year marriage they raised four children. She retired from Mountain Bell Telephone Company in 1983 after 29 years of service.
Survivors include her son Kendall (Caryn) of Dayton, MN and their two sons Kiel and Korey; her son Kenley (Mary Beth Creel) of Helena and his children Shanda (Jasun) Brown of Turner, OR and Kendrik (Jill) of Missoula and their two sons Griffin and Calen; her daughter Kadene (Greg) Drummer of Havre and their grandson, Nolan Lotton; her daughter Kelli Goodian, of Moses Lake, WA and her children Taylor and Teal Delys; sister-in-laws, Joyce Michels of Box Elder and Shirley Swan of Edmonds, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a sister, Wilma Formanack; and grandchildren, Royce and Angelina Lotton.
A graveside service will be held 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 5th at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Ft. Harrison. Memorials in Margaret’s name are suggested to an organization or charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.aswfuneralhome.com.
