Marion was so faithful in her daily Mass and other expressions of Faith. May she Rest In Peace. Bobby Lavender surely was a generous part of Marion’s life in bringing her to Mass and other appointments. God bless her family and friends.

To all Marion’s loved ones. She and I were best friends since noviate days. She and I vacationed together with Bob before they were married. When I had my sabbatical in a cabin outside Butts in 1977, they came to visit me twice and we hiked the mountains together. After Bob died Marion was in touch with me before coming to Helena. I helped her decorate her apartment at Eagles Manor. We had many good times together at my house on 11th Av. I came back to the Mother House in 2014. We had kept in close touch ever since I even talked to her on my birthday, June 26. She sounded so good. I count that a blesing. We had a Mass for her yesterday. I miss her and loved her My heart goes out to you. My love and prayers, S.Noel

I have been so very blessed by my dear friend Marion. I’ll always remember her sweet smile, kind heart, spiritual wisdom and subtle wit. It was a joy being a Sister of Charity of Leavenworth Associate of Helena with her. We enjoyed reading books together. When we got together to read the last book, she always said, “Let’s start at the beginning.” I’ve lost count of how many times we read that first chapter. Every time it led us to different insightful conversation. May fond memories of Marion bless all those who love her with peace at this most difficult time.

I was so lucky to spend time with Uncle Bob and Marion over the years – from hikes in the Beartooth Mountains, drives along the Oregon coast, ferry trips to the San Juan Islands, visit during Bob’s last days, to long laugh-filled phone conversations with Marion. She was a blessing in my life.

As a Helenan and a graduate of Cathedral High School, I was delighted to get to know Marion when I entered the Sisters of Charity a few years behind her. Her joyful attitude gifted all. Thank you to her associate friends in Montana, especially those who were present in her later days. Go now in Peace, to the God whose Love you knew and lived….
