On the morning on August 3, 2018, Marsha passed away surrounded by her family after a brief battle with cancer at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Marsha was born on March 20, 1944 to Magnus “Shorty” & Evelyn (Johnson) Dahl in Helena. She attended schools in East Helena and graduated from Helena High School in 1962. Following graduation, Marsha became employed by the Federal Reserve Bank (Helena branch) and continued her career with them until retiring as an Analyst in 1999.
Marsha met and soon after married Leon L. Belville in 1964 in Helena, MT. The two shared their life together for 54 years. Marsha & Leon were blessed with 2 daughters Chris and Jennie. Marsha took a leave of absence from her career to stay home and raise their children until the girls were in school full time, returning to the bank thereafter. After retiring, her and Leon became snow birds, traveling to Arizona during the winter months.
Marsha loved hiking (particularly in the desert), camping, ATV riding, fishing, crafting, rock & seashell hounding and especially traveling the world with her beloved husband. She was especially thrilled with 2 trips they took to Norway to meet family and learn her heritage. She loved spending time with her family & friends whether at a dinner event or casually hanging out laughing. Marsha loved spending time at the ocean collecting shells and exploring tidal pools. Her smile was uplifting to anyone and everyone she met. She especially loved spending time with her best-friend, her rock, and life partner, Leon. They were known well for being inseparable, if you saw one the other was not too far away. Marsha was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in East Helena, MT.
Marsha is survived by her husband Leon, daughters Chris Belville (Darcel), Jennie Robinson (Brian), Grandchildren Kristina Carpenter (Scott) & Michael Liming, Great-Grandson Karsyn Grandy, Niece & Nephews Mary Ann Mailloux (Tim), Dave Petek (Jan) and numerous Great Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and older sister Judy Nelson.
The family would like to give special thanks to St. Peter’s Hospital Oncology floor staff, and all the nurses that took care of her.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave. A memorial service celebrating Marsha’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow on Friday, August 10th at the funeral home.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Montana Hope Project. P.O. Box 5927, Helena MT 59604. http://montanahope.org/

So sorry to read about Marsha’s passing. I love the following quote from Tuesday with Morrie by Mitch Album
“Death ends a life, not a relatioinship.
As long as we can love each other, and remember the feeling of love we had, we can die without ever really going away. All the love you created is still there. All the memories are still there. You live on- in the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured wile you were here.”
Sending lots of love and hugs–
