Mary Ann Bing, age 78, died March 31, 2023 following a short illness. She had been living at Mount Ascension Transitional Care in Helena, MT for four years.
Mary Ann was born in Dickinson, ND on September 4, 1944 to P.J. Bing and Mary E. (Soules) Bing. She was the second of three children. Mary Ann was developmentally disabled and attended several different schools throughout her life in Oregon, Illinois, and Montana. She worked at Helena Industries for several years. After leaving Helena Industries, she attended the CAP program offered through Spring Meadow Resources.
Prior to living at Mount Ascension, Mary Ann lived in several different places in Helena including the Davis Group Home, Stewart Homes, her own residence on 8th Ave., Eagles’ Manor, the Hudson House and lastly Mount Ascension Transitional Care. Mary Ann was often described by her friends as always happy and having a big smile on her face. She enjoyed all of the various activities that were offered at Mount Ascension. She and her roommate Cora were best friends.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Melvin (Mel). She is survived by her sister, Jane Bing-Craig and brother-in-law Rusty Craig, sister-in-law Judy Bing of Washington State, two nieces, one nephew, and several cousins.
