Dear Family,
I’m not sure I even MET Matt, but his Grandma Vicki and I were First Cousins, and we used to joke with each other because I had a grandson, Matthew Andrews, and she had two grandsons, Matthew and Andrew and she could never remember if my grandson was Matthew or Andrew. I’m sorry for your loss. Even though I didn’t know him, he IS part of my extended family. I just wanted you to know that story. Love you all.

Matt was one of the few first close friends that I met when I moved to Helena. I was lucky enough to also be living just down the street from him too. That made it to where a lot of the time out of the week I’d stop by his place and chat while we have a cigarette or two together. I’d also stop in at bobs to chat with him while I was fueling up. He took me with on my first trip around the Helena area hunting and it didn’t stop there. I joined him on a couple fishing trips as well. When I needed someone, he was there. When he needed someone to talk to I was there. I’ll never forget those moments of my life.
