Maxine E. Frezzette, 73, of Helena, passed away on June 17, 2014. Maxine was born on Sept. 28, 1940, in Gooding Idaho, to Ralph and Deloris McMillin. She grew up in Natchez, Washington until they moved to Wardsworth, Nevada. She met and married her first husband, Manuel Hernandez, in 1958. They had two children and one on the way when he was taken by a tragic car accident in 1960.
Maxine then met the love of her life, Al Frezzette. They were married on May 4, 1961. He loved her and her family with all his heart. They were blessed to have a fourth child together in 1962. They lived in Reno, Nevada, until 1978, when they decided to move to Helena.
Maxine was a homemaker for many years, devoting herself to her family and horses. She also helped her husband in his appraisal business after their children had all grown for many years as his secretary. In 1998, she decided to open a daycare in her home with her granddaughter. She ran the daycare for four years, loving all the children and giving them a piece of her heart.
Although Maxine had her share of loss, she never let it change her or break her. It all made her stronger. She had a great big heart and was always there to talk to and give great advice.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Deloris, and father, Ralph; brother Allen McMillin; son Manuel Hernandez; daughters Felicia (Frezzette) Pearson and Anita (Hernandez) Remington; son-in-law Patrick Carver; daughter-in-law Judie Hernandez; granddaughter Heather Hernandez; and grandson Brandon Remington.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years and the love of her life, Al Frezzette; son Rueben Hernandez; son-in-law Ernie Remington; sisters Naoma, Sharon, Myrna, and Ione; brother Steven; grandchildren Angelina (Peter) Olson, Jason (Katie) Hernandez, Ernie Remington, Jeremy (Megan) Hernandez, Ian Pearson; and Kyliegh Pearson; eight great-grandchildren; and many great friends.
Services are scheduled to be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1260 Otter Road, at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2014 with a luncheon to follow.
