On October 3rd, 2018, with her daughters by her side, Mazie Radcliffe joined the love of her life, Harold, in heaven. She was 87 years old upon her death. Mazie Myrl Fuller was born on April 19th, 1931 in Stanford, MT to Helen and Frank Fuller. After graduation from Stanford High, she was employed in the civil service working at the Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, MT. It was there that she met her husband Harold Radcliffe. After a short courtship, they were married on October 12th, 1952. They enjoyed 62 ½ years together until Harold passed away on July 2nd, 2014. Together they raised five children. Mazie always felt honored and blessed to be able to stay home and raise their children.
Mazie was actively involved with the Camp Fire Girls for many years and volunteered at St. Peter’s Hospital pushing the coffee cart for 25 years. Harold joined her once her eyesight made it difficult to volunteer alone. She was honored to serve many years with the St. Peter’s Hospital Association. Mazie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family in the great outdoors, camping, boating, and fishing, and was an avid sports fan. She loved her family deeply and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
For the last 2 ½ years, Mazie lived at Son Heaven Assisted Living, where she made many dear friends and was lovingly cared for by their amazing staff. She loved each and every one of them. The family will be eternally grateful to them for taking such wonderful care of our Mother.
She is survived by sons David (Cindy), Steve (Darlene), Hal (Deirdre) and daughters Carolyn Radcliffe and Colleen Nichols (Harlan). She is also survived by grandchildren Jonathan, Marta (Jesse) Williams, Casey, Victoria, Michael, Julia, and Berkleigh Radcliffe, Brittany (Caleb) Bettenhausen, Amy Rieker, Daniel and Brian Nichols. In addition, she is survived by great grandchildren Tristin Baker, Ailey and Rafe Bettenhausen, and Sebastian Williams.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Frank and Helen Fuller, her brothers Fred, Harry, Mark, Eddie, Lee, and Floyd and her sister Thelma.
A viewing for family and friends is scheduled for Thursday afternoon on October 11th, from 3 to 5 PM at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave in Helena. The funeral will be held at the First Presbyterian Church located at 535 North Ewing St. Friday October 12th, at 11 AM followed by a reception. A grave side service will take place at Fort Harrison at 3 PM.
Contributions may be made in Mazie’s name to the First Presbyterian Church, the St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation, or to the charity of your choice.
Special thanks to the entire staff at Son Heaven Assisted Living and to Hospice of St. Peter’s.

Sweet Maize! What a wonderful lady. Mazie was warm and loving and kind. She could really grow and process her lovely garden and shared with many. I’ve wished many a time in the last years we could visit. But I’ve had health issues as had Maize. I will think of her often.
We ladies of the neighborhood and Knight Street would meet for coffee and have fun chats Maize was often there.
My thoughts ad prayers are with the family.

So sorry to hear of Mazie’s death. What a legacy she has left for your family. You can always be proud of the parents that raised you. Mazie was truly a Proverbs 31 Woman if God. She was an example to all of us.
Your parents were always one of our favorite customers at Coney Island! They always brought us presents for grand babies, weddings etc for our family. Also, so supportive when my husband Ron died in 2009. Hold your heads high Radcliffe’s and Pass It On

On behalf of the Dolan family, our deepest sympathy on the passing of a wonderful and kind lady. Mrs. Radcliffe always made you feel special and at home when you were in her and Mr. Radcliffe’s company. My brother Kevin and I spent many hours around the Radcliffe family and we were always better off for it. Her passing leaves a void in all of us, but her warm smile and personality will never be forgotten. Bill Dolan

I am the current owner of Son Heaven and was able to spend several evenings with Mazie watching the Seattle Mariners on TV. I was very impressed with her knowledge of baseball and in particular the Mariners. It will not be the same without her. She was the ring leader.

I lived in Mazie’s neighborhood for a number of years when my children were young. I have very fond memories of her. She and Sharon, across the street, were the organizers of so many neighborhood doings. She was a very caring, sweet lady. So sorry for your loss.

If there was an angel on Earth, it was most definitely Mazie. What an incredible legacy she has left!!! She raised a wonderful family and has nurtured so many in her life. Will always have such sweet, fond memories of her caring for our Dad (her brother Mark) and visits to the Radcliffe home in Helena. Though she will be missed, there surely is an incredible reunion happening with everyone who passed before her. Thoughts and prayers go out to the Radcliffe family.

Dear Carolyn and entire Radcliffe family – I am so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I was just thinking of her this last week and all of the contributions she made to myself and so many of us in “CampFire Girls”.
She and my dad (Bill Sands) actually went to school together years back in Stanford. He always spoke so highly of her from his “good ole days”, and I had the joy of being in her presence. She was the epitome of hospitality and genuine care for others. May you all have a flood of good and happy memories to hold in your hearts. Our prayers for you all during this time.
With sincere affection, Connie (Sands) Jerome
