Michael Tyler Davis, 45
Michael Tyler Davis, 45, passed away on the early morning hours of Saturday, September 30, 2023, after a lengthy illness. He and his twin brother, Nick, were born August 19, 1978, in Kalispell, MT to Dave and Susan Davis.
Mike attended Edgerton Elementary School in Kalispell and was active in scouts, biking, track, baseball, church, and the closeknit neighborhood. The family moved to Helena where he attended Helena Middle School and graduated from Helena High School in 1997. Mike then enrolled in auto mechanics at Helena Vo-Tech. His natural ability with anything mechanical from a young age continued into adulthood and his career. It was a skill he often shared with others. He worked for Montana Propane for many years as a Service Technician.
He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, off-roading, and target shooting. Watching NASCAR was often a favorite pastime as well as photographing sunsets and animals.
Mike is survived by his parents David and Susan, brothers Nick Davis and Morgan (Chelsea) Davis, sister Leslie (Ben) Kenedy, niece Emily Kennedy and nephews Evan and Eli Kennedy, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben and Mary Evans, Douglas and Florence Davis, and his uncle Larry Evans.

I met you in college, which seems a lifetime ago. You were funny and self assured. And we became friends. You were one of the most selfless people I had the pleasure of knowing. You would call and check on me. And occasionally give me the much needed cheekiness that sometimes I deserved. Definitely keeping me on my toes. I want to say that you are in a better place now. Beyond your illness that you will suffer no more. But I am not as selfless as you. The world just lost another good one, and I want you back. Rest in peace my oldest and dear friend. Thank you for blessing my life and all the lives you have touched.

Mike “ELROY”,
We met when we both worked at Mt Propane and became friends. We always had fun at work and harrased each other in good ways to make the day go by. I am glad I was able to see ya and have a good long visit the last time we seen one another. You’re not sick or in pain anymore brother. I still see that goofy smile you had and I’ll miss your genuine spirit. You were a good friend and I’ll miss ya buddy. Have a cold one for me and keep one on ice as we will see each other again! God bless you my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with your family!

Mike was one of my first students at Helena High back in the day. He always had something funny to say, and made me laugh a lot. English definitely was NOT his favorite subject, but he kept up the effort and even wrote some nice poetry in High School. We kept in touch over the years, our paths crossing at Montana Propane various other times. It was always good to chat. He’s going to be missed for sure. Rest in Peace Mike!

Mike was my neighbor for the 14 years. He always had a kind word to say to me and a great smile! He was definitely the neighborhood watchman! I loved his stories. He knew every cat that he thought were killing bunnies, pesky skunks in the neighborhood, weird goings on, haha! I called him Sergeant McGruff (lovingly) and he would laugh about that. He had a kind heart and I will miss him! He’s out of pain now! Morgan, I don’t know you but you gave a wonderful tribute and service to your brother today. Sending positive thoughts to Mike’s whole family.
