Michael Lee Campbell
Born February 9, 1955 – Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista, AZ
Passed away August 24, 2025
Michael Lee Campbell, lovingly known as “Mike,” and to many as “Pizza Mike,” passed away on August 24, 2025, at the age of 70. He was born on February 9, 1955, in Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista, Arizona.
Mike’s early years were spent moving often due to his father’s military service, but the family eventually settled in Polson, Montana. Mike proudly joined the United States Marine Corps afterwards, he traveled and worked a variety of jobs before returning home, where in 1988 he met the love of his life, Terri. Together, they built a life in Helena, Montana, where they put down roots and raised their family.
For 19 years, Mike managed Bob’s Pizza Plus in the Helena Mall, where he became a well-known and beloved figure in the community, forever remembered as “Pizza Mike.” When the mall closed, he was forced to leave behind the place where so many people had come to know and love him. He later went on to manage the deli at Town Pump before retiring.
Mike had a passion for the open road and loved the freedom of riding his motorcycle. He was known for his quick sense of humor, independent spirit, and his way of living life unapologetically on his own terms. At family gatherings, he could often be found at the kids’ table, stirring up fun and mischief with his grandchildren — a love of shenanigans he proudly passed down to the next generation. Fiercely loyal, deeply loving, and always larger than life, Mike was the rock of his family and their Superman. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his laughter, love, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Harold “Sarge” Campbell; his mother, Barbra Campbell; his brothers Glen, Pat, and Roger Campbell; and his great-granddaughter Mariella Bollingberg.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Terri Campbell; his children Jeremy King (Timberly), Brandi Clark (Dave), Felisha Koch (Bryan), Michael Campbell, Amy Thomas (Zach), Johnathan Campbell (Kim), and John Tolentino. Mike was the proud grandfather of Bryce, Annabella, Montana, Makana, Dannielle, Marlee, Sydney, Brian, Caden, Angelique, Trance, Brodie, Kayla, Keean, Chloe, Kale, Rayne, Kori, and Brooklyn, and great-grandfather to Abi, Alex, Nora, Samantha, Archer, Maverick, Ellie, and Nora Rae. He is also survived by his brothers Harold (Cheryl) Campbell, Phil (Denise) Campbell, and Donald (Cindy) Campbell, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the East Helena Volunteer Fireman’s Hall. Friends and family are invited to share memories, laughter, and love as we honor Mike’s life. A graveside service will follow on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Lake View Cemetery in Polson, Montana.
