Michelle “Meesh” Callie Anderson, 47 of Helena, Montana, has passed away unexpectedly on the night of November 29th, 2023 in her home. Meesh was very loved and had an outstanding personality. Her accident has been very hard on all her family, as well as shocking. As her family is trying to understand why this incident happened, they know that she is now healthy, happy and can finally be free.
Meesh was born in a little town in California called Goleta on the day of September 19th, 1976, to the parents of Cheryl (Dehnke) and Barry Anderson where she was the youngest of two children, the oldest being her brother Mike. Meesh and her family moved to Boise, Idaho when she was a year and a half where she spent her childhood playing outside, swimming and going to school just like any other kid. She ended up attending elementary, middle and the first two years of high school, as well as meeting her lifelong best friend Angie, before moving to Helena, Montana, due to her father taking on a new career, to finish out the last years of high school graduating from Helena High School.
After high school, Meesh met the love of her life where they had a beautiful baby girl, Darian Anderson. Meesh and her daughter were best friends who went on adventures together and always enjoyed each other’s company even when their strong personalities would clash. Darian was Meesh’s life, and she protected her like the mama bear she was. Meesh had a big heart, not only for her daughter and animals, but also for her family and friends helping them where she could.
In 2010, Meesh was diagnosed with gastroparesis which changed her way of life and was given a timeline on her life, not making it past the age of 40. Meesh spent most of her time in hospitals, having surgeries and working towards finding the right doctors that would help her. Meesh was then diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, causing her to lose feeling in the left part of her face and tongue, making it very hard for her to talk. Meesh was a fighter and determined to live a positive happy life, full of humor, even with all the health issues that she endured.
Meesh had a very strong and independent personality, who knew how to lighten up a room with her sense of humor and sarcasm. She was very beautiful and had such a unique way of looking at life and expressing it through her art. Meesh spent most of her free time thinking about new art projects and getting to work and create these projects whether they were inside or outside. Anyone who knew Meesh, knew she was a fun, spunky, and very outgoing woman with a heart of gold who took pride in being a cat lady.
Meesh is preceded in death by her father Barry, who passed 24 days before her from pancreatic cancer, Mark Jankowski, Grandparents, Uncles and close friends we have lost. Meesh is survived by her daughter Darian, granddaughter Betty (Cooper), mother Cheryl (Dehnke), brother Mike, stepfather Michael (Dehnke), Aunt-Terry (Quinn), Caitlin Hoyt, and lifelong best friend Angie Coble.
I want to give a huge thank you and love for her amazing doctors, speech therapist and amazing surgeon.
Meesh will always shine brightly through the sky, painting the sunsets beautifully.
Forever my superhero. Forever a gastroparesis fighter.

Michelle Anderson (Meesh) was a brave and strong woman determined to live as long as she could to be with her family. Diagnosed in 2010 with Gastroparesis, Michelle was still fighting the disease when she had her tragic accident. Over the years Michelle suffered from many other diseases requiring surgeries and adjustments like the loss of her hearing. Through all this Michelle was incredibly grateful. I feel blessed to have received her beautiful letters. The world lost a wonderful person. Rest in Peace Michelle. Sending my sympathy to her family.
