Mildred “Millie” Reeves Ewing passed away February 5, 2011 after a very brief bout with pneumonia. She was born the youngest of 7 children in Temple, ND on November 19, 1922. Millie married Robert Ewing on September 3, 1950 in Hardin, MT. He preceded her in death in 1997. She is survived by her 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Mildred lived her life doing what she thought was right without consideration of how difficult that might be. “You just do what needs to be done.” She had strong morals, ethics and scruples. She gave generously throughout her life and always believed in keeping the lines of communication open.
She had too many accomplishments in her life to list here. However, if you were fortunate enough to know her, she probably taught you something, gave you the desire to do better and the strength to do it.
All that have known her should consider themselves blessed. She was loved by many; she will be missed very much and remembered frequently and fondly.
A viewing is set from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Retz Funeral Home Chapel with family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Retz Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. A reception will be held at the First Baptist Church, corner of 8th and Warren, after the burial. Mildred was a client of mine when I ran a cleaning service in Helena. I got to know her as a friend and was always struck by her kindness, forthrightness, and insight. Please accept my sympathy at your loss
Rev. Tom & Shirley James says
To Millie’s family & friends,
We do thank God for having MIllie as our friend. She was a truly faithful person, to her God, her family, and her friends. Whenever we think of Tuesday morning Bible study there at FBC, we can visualize each face around the table, and there is Millie, sitting between Ruth & Virginia. We loved her, and altho we experience saddness at her passing, we rejoice with her, that she is now in the company of her husband, and others she loved that preceded her, and most of all she is with our wonderful Saviour, the Lord Jesus himself..
Larry & Donna French says
We are sending out sympathy to you Connie and your family.

Marcia May says
My name is Marcia May. I became aquainted with Millie through Anna Cross, Jeff’s Mom. Each time that Anna would visit me in Helena, we would meet Millie for lunch and I really enjoyed our visits and hearing about her husband and family. She was very proud of them. Millie is happy now in heaven with Bob and not suffering any longer. My sympathy is with her family – she was a great lady! May she rest in peace.
