Mildred “Millie” Tillo, was the 5th of 6 children born on February 9, 1929 to Carl and Mary Cross. She passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Edgewood Assisted Living, with family at her side. She lived her entire life in Helena, where she married Frank Tillo, who passed earlier this year. They would have been married 70 years in September. Millie is survived by a sister, Marlene Gleason, and a brother, Russell Cross, both of Helena. Her four children, Patti, Tom (Viki), David (Vickie), and Jon, all of Helena remain. She also leaves numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, & nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered as one of the “great” mothers who always loved being around her family. Millie chose not to have a funeral service and will be put to rest next to her husband at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison. She chose a short graveside service for family and close friends. Please visit below to offer the family a condolence or share a memory of Millie.

I have such fond memories of Aunt Millie growing up, she had a calmness about her that was always comforting. She had such a great laugh and a sparkle in her eye that was so vivid. It wasn’t all that long ago ( well maybe longer than I think) that I found out she and Frank were my God Parents. To Patti, Tom, David, Jon and your families, we are truly sorry for your loss. She was and always will be such a great lady. Love to you all

She was an amazing Aunt and friend and I will miss her dearly. 😢
