In Memory Of

Morgan Lynn Miller, age 31, of Clancy

November 12, 1987 – June 24, 2019

On the morning of June 24th   2019, Morgan Lynn Miller, 31 of East Helena, ended her life on this earth.

She was an amazing bright, loving, and gifted person.  Morgan was a pharmacist, friend, daughter, sister, girlfriend, student, athlete, animal lover, liberal, reader, coach, music lover and cheerleader.  She loved her family and she loved God.  She was a gifted athlete in high school in soccer and track.  Morgan was a ten year sexual assault survivor and she battled the accompanying mental illness as long as she could.

Morgan is survived by her sister Maria, brother Isaac, parents Marcia and Chris Miller, her boyfriend Monroe Mathis, her grandma Gwen Goodell, many aunts, uncles and cousins, friends, Daisy the dog and Dwight the cat.

Morgan was preceded in death by her grandpa Roy Goodell, grandma and grandpa Kay and Bob Miller, uncles Bruce Goodell and Kevin Miller.

Be kind to others and be nice to yourself.  Keep those you love close in your heart.  Give lots of hugs.  Find things to laugh about every day.  Say I love you a lot.  Life is so short.

The family is having a small, private service.  A larger gathering for friends will be held later this summer.

Instead of flowers, those wishing could donate to Helena Food Share, where Morgan volunteered.   Please visit below to offer a condolence or share a memory of Morgan.

I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. I personally know the loss of a loved one, and the pain can seem overwhelming, especially with one so young and vibrant. However, I found comfort in the Bible’s promise for the future (Acts 24:15) I hope this helps bring some comfort in this time of sorrow.

Our son Monroe lost a beautiful woman he loved dearly and we lost a and angel we considered our daughter-in-law. I can’t imagine what it is like for Marcia, Chris, Maria, Isaac and their family, I only know the sadness we feel in losing Morgan. Morgan gave us so many blessings and gifts by being the kind and generous person she was. One person who worked with her said Morgan wanted to save the world and she did every day on this earth by her acts of kindness. We are so proud of our son Monroe for loving such a wonderful woman and we are even more proud of the man he became because of Morgan’s presence in his life. I can’t remember a time with Morgan I didn’t say “Don’t forget who loves you”! We will never forget Morgan and will remember her legacy by being kind and generous to others. I remember the saying “Pay it Forward” and at times I think the world has forgotten acts like these. I plan to remember Morgan and her legacy on this earth, by saying to everyone I help from this day forward “FOR MORGAN”!

Monroe, Chis, Marsha, Isaac, & Maria
From the looks of the posts, Morgan affected us all the same. Especially those she worked with:
    My tribute
    Forever 31
your mom told me you were missing
    I just knew
The same way that I knew your eyes changed
    From green to blue
It must have been extremely dark
    The day you flew
I know you didn’t mean to destroy us
    This was about you

What you didn’t realize was how special
    You came to be
To those who raised you , loved you,
    Me
I can’t put myself in your place
    I can’t possibly see
Your pain, your anguish, the caged bird
    You needed to free

I’m sorry life didn’t seem worth living
    I have felt the same
The constant feeling there Is somewhere else
A safe place with no pain
I hope heaven is all you hoped for
    If that is its name
I pray you have peace, quiet, love, tranquility
And they threw a party when you came

I don’t think you realized your ability to change us
Your ability to light up a room
I understand that type of light needed energy
Energy we were all too eager to consume
It’s much dimmer now that you’re gone
But I feel someone still basks in your glow,
    lucky them

Morgan, it’s been a few years since I’ve lived and worked with you in Montana. You always had a smile on your face. You always had answers to my questions of all things pharmaceutical. I don’t know if you will all see this or not, but I have to write my thoughts. After seeing Marcia today, I have thought of nothing else. Morgan was a beautiful soul. One of the highlights of my teaching in East Helena, and certainly a joy and ray of sunshine my first years here. I trust she is with Jesus now, and her soul cannot be tormented any longer. Know all of you that Morgan was special and did make such a difference in our world while she was here. Bless all of you. Enjoy the new little one that is on the way. Hearts and love to you all.
