Nancy L. Seego, 83, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021, 1:06 AM, at her daughter’s home in Helena, Montana with her daughter by her side.
Nancy was born on December 18th, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Andrew R. Sklarski and Stephanie Sklarski. When she was 13-years-old, she met Carmine H. Seego, the love of her life. They married in 1956. She had lived in Villa Park, Naperville and Plainfield, Illinois, before moving to Helena, Montana.
Nancy was very active all of her life. She spent her time in health clubs, bike riding, swimming, golfing, ice skating and playing tennis. Her hobbies were making floral arrangements and being a talented artist. She was a very beautiful woman that never looked her age and dressed impeccably where everything had to match. She was smart, funny and all around an incredible wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her two children, Yvonne Mattera and Carmine Seego, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at historic Forestvale Cemetery; a quaint mountain setting, surrounded by gentle rolling hills and wildflowers. Her ashes will be comingled with her loving husband Carmine. Forever missed, forever loved.
In place of flowers, memorials may be given to Lewis & Clark Humane Society on behalf of her dogs, Caesar and Lucy: https://lchsmontana.org/

I have known Nancy and Carmine since they were going steady in high school. Carmine lived on the North side and Nancy lived on the South side
Nancy and I worked together for AIG in Glen Ellyn, Naperville and Lisle. Carmine would call up and say “Where’s my roommate”.
She handled Workman Compensation Claims in Glen Ellyn and helped a lot of people.
She was a “fashionista” in those days and we all admired her.
She was a good cook and made special foods for her husband when he was ill and she always brought me homemade noodles and soup.
There were four of us that worked for AIG. We were all widows and kept in touch.
She was a special friend and her kindness and thoughtfulness will always be remembered.
With Love and Sympathy,
Jacky Duprey

Our family became such a large family over the years. Being in such a large family I have many Aunts and Uncles that are special to me for one reason or other. Aunt Nancy actually got me interested in drawing. When I would spend the night by your house ,do you remember me spending nights there? We would sit at the kitchen table and draw people. Aunt Nancy would give me pointers on how to draw faces and whatever. She was a great artist .Once we thought Carmine wonder off as we were drawing. Your mom called the police because we couldn’t find him. Turned out he fell asleep down stairs in the laundry room on some laundry your mom was doing. I always enjoyed spending time by your house because it was a happy, friendly and welcoming home. She will be missed by many of our large family. Prayers of comfort to you and Carmine. Lots of love and hugs to you and yours. Love, your cousin Diana and Bill

To Nancy, my mother-in-law: After Carmine passed, I confessed to you that I never had a chance to tell him I loved him, you comforted me and said that Carmine knew I loved him. Thereafter, and over the years every time we spoke you made sure to say “I love you” at the end of our conversations. When you were here in Montana and on your sick bed you said “I love you” every time I would walk in the room to visit you and when I left you would say “I love you”. Now, in your passing, it occurred to me that, not only did you love me, but you were teaching me the importance of saying I love you to the ones we share our lives with. This is a life lesson I will never forget. Nancy:” I LOVE YOU” Rest in Peace. Your son in law, Rick.

The day before you passed. I will never forget what you said to me. You looked into my eyes and held my hand and said, Your Just like me…. Your an Artist like me … You dress up like me … YOU ARE ALL AROUND JUST LIKE ME… Thank you ,Mom from the bottom of my heart for teaching me how to be the best that I can be. I will remain that way forever and always … because I am YOU. Because you are and always have been…My Beautiful Mother inside and out.

I only met Nancy on a couple of occasions, but even in such a short acquaintance I was struck by the way she radiated kindness, cheerfulness and joy. She was a sweet and loving person who will be sorely missed. She and Carmine were so obviously in love. I cannot remember a time we spent together when they did not fill the room with joy and laughter. Now she and Carmine are reunited in the joy of their Lord. — Larry and Laurie Mattera

I have known Nancy and Carmine for over 20 years – Nancy and I had a very special friendship and I first met her working at Lowenstein, in Addison. She and Carmine had me over to there house many times when Yvonne and Carmine jr were growing up. She was an awesome cook and baker. I still remember her cooking a special meal for Carmine and asked me if I like it? I looked at what she was cooking and it curled up. it was tongue OMG I said I will pass She just laughed and said OK. Nancy always had a radiant smile and when we were together she talked about her family and the love of her life Carmine. Carmine called me the “Pie Lady” because I made home made apple pie from scratch. I would bring an apple pie to there house off and on. Carmine and Nancy were child sweet hearts as everyone knows. They just sparkled together. She loved all the family gathering from birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers – she was there bringing desert, etc. Another favorite memory is when Yvonne sent Nancy a blow up pool from her patio before she came in for a visit. Well I came over and swam in this pool which was 4 ft deep and circular. We all had a good laugh because it was not very big but we cool off. I still remember Carmine asking me to make an Apple pie for him from the “Pie Lady”. I made it for his birthday celebration and I did not have water in the kitchen sink so it was a challenge to get it completed. He was so happy and I was so glad to bring a smile. That’s how Rick cam to know me as the Pie Lady (Yvonne’s husband)
I know that Nancy and Carmine are in heaven dancing together and sending all there love to their family here.
Always in my heart and memories I will cherish forever.
Sending hugs to everyone!
