Nicholas Stanley Racine, FSA, MAAA, age 44, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in Helena, MT from natural causes. He was born on March 2, 1980, in Salt Lake City, UT to his parents Cathleen C. and Dennis R. Racine.
Nick grew up in the Murray area of Utah and attended Murray High School, where his mischievous and fun-loving nature got him in trouble more than once. He was always very intelligent, and after entering college life he applied his intelligence earnestly and wisely. He majored in Math & Economics and went on to become an Actuary. After years of post-graduate studying, he reached the highest rank of “Fellow of the Society of Actuaries”. He was employed by HCSC-Blue Cross Blue Shield, as Senior Director & Actuary. He was also very active in church and was serving as Secretary to his Elders Quorum in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He attended Southern Utah University and graduated from the University of Utah in SLC. Early in his college life he met the absolute love of his life, Summer A. Wells, and married her on Dec. 27, 2005, in Salt Lake City and then sealed in the Denver Temple. Together they fostered, and later adopted two sons in Denver, Colorado before giving birth to their youngest son in SLC. Family meant everything to Nick, and he spent every free moment he could sharing the beauty of Montana with his family. He loved fishing, hunting, skiing, boating, and exploring on his motorcycle or in his side-by-side as he made wonderful memories for all who went with him.
Nick is survived by his wife Summer, their oldest son Justus (age 19 – currently serving in the Military) their middle son Chase (age 15) and their youngest son Carter (age 7).

Jordan says
Nick was a great person. I grew up with him in Murray and he was always a fun guy. I’m joyed to see he had a happy and successful life.
Life is too short and I wish I would’ve reached out to him to tell let him know he was a great person.
Prayers go to the family during this grieving process.
Manley and Jeannine Stallings says
