In the last year of Paige’s life, I was so impressed at her demeanor and spirit through all of it. I didn’t know her well but I did well enough to know she was always smiling, always. And that alone speaks volumes.

It is with great sadness that I write this little memory of Paige all the way over here in Perth, Australia. Paige was part of a wonderful group of students from Portland, who joined my environmental and Sustainability units at Notre Dame and they have all been etched in my memory as some of the most enthusiastic, brilliant and imaginative students I have ever taught. I will never forget Paige as she thoroughly grabbed the experiences here in Australia with both hands and sucked as much life out of them as anyone could. My sincerest condolences for your loss.

I hadn’t spoken with Paige since we graduated high school and went to colleges in different states. I remember fondly having Spanish class with Paige our Freshman year at Mitty. She was always a kind person and a great person to be around. I’m so saddened to hear about her passing. The world lost a great human being and I know she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
