Pamela “Pam” Kay Shackett passed away on September 29, 2023 in the comfort of her home with family. Pam was 77 years young.
Pamela Sinnott was born in Hallock, MN on August 7, 1946. Pam was the eldest of five children born to Lawrence and Ellen Sinnott. She grew up in Babbitt, MN. After graduating from Babbitt JFK in 1964, she moved to Helena, MT to live with her Uncle Don and Aunt Donna. Three of her four siblings would eventually make the move to Helena as well. It was in Helena that she met and later married Fred Clausen in November of that year. In 1967 they welcomed their daughter, Christy and 5 years later they were blessed with a son, Justin. They would later divorce. Pam then met and married Larry Truman. This marriage would take her to Boulder City, NV. They later divorced but Pam stayed on in Boulder City. Her parents would eventually move there also. It was while working at the Boulder City Hospital she met and married George Shackett, a Fire Chief at Nellis AFB. They later moved to Palm Bay, FL when George transferred to Patrick AFB. While in Florida, she worked for Brevard Anesthesiologists. Before George’s retirement, they spent 3 years in Germany while he worked at Ramstein AFB. During their time in Germany, they would spend a month every year building their dream home in Seeley Lake, MT where they moved upon George’s retirement. When that marriage ended, she returned to Helena, MT to be near her grandchildren and siblings. She would buy a home and begin doing contract work for the National Institute on Money in State Politics and worked for them until earlier this year.
Pam was extremely proud of her grandchildren and was thrilled to become “Grandma Great” to Brixton. She also had a great love for her fur babies. Pam loved fishing, floating and nature. She was an excellent seamstress and knitter. She loved to cook and was quite talented with preparing dishes originating from various countries and cultures. She truly enjoyed all her travels and cherished the people she met along the way. She remained in contact with many of those people around the world.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Ellen Sinnott, her sister Deanna Ward, her niece Callie Sinnott and her sister-in-law Trina Sinnott.
Pam is survived by her children Christy (Jeff Jorgensen) Caldwell and Justin Clausen, Grandchildren Alexia, Shayna and Tyler Caldwell, Great-grandson Brixton Caldwell, Brother Mike (Danna) Sinnott, Sister Patty (Mike) Bunch, Brother Scott Sinnott, Nieces Stacy, Kami, Kasi, Heather and Heidi, Nephew Cody.
