Patricia Jean Guslander, 82, of Lewistown, passed away September 14, 2017, after a short illness. She was born in Leith, North Dakota to Soren and Nellie Hauge. She married James Guslander, in Lewistown, July 21, 1956. They were together for 61 years.
Pat was a graduate of Leith High School in 1951 and received her nursing degree from Anker School of Nursing in St Paul Minnesota, graduating in 1955.
Pat worked as an emergency room nurse, at St Joseph Hospital, and later at Central Montana Medical Center, from 1955 to 1999. She truly enjoyed her work there, as growing up she had always wanted to be a nurse. She was a member of the Methodist church, in Lewistown, as well as, the Order of Eastern Star, and Sons of Norway. She spent most of her free time knitting many a sweater, afghan, pairs of socks, and stocking cap. If she was not doing that, she was enjoying the books from the library, or taking part in card games with her friends.
She is survived by her husband, Jim, now living at the Masonic Home, in Helena; her children: John and Diane Guslander in Jackson, WY, Sheila and Ron Snyder, Missoula, MT, Patti and Michael Mazurkiewicz, Billings, MT, and Rod Guslander Driggs, ID; grandchildren: Zack and David Guslander, Jackson, WY, Dylan Snyder, of Missoula, MT and Erin and Dan Chase, of Boston, MA, Ryan Martin and Maria Ruiz, Greeley, CO, Rex Martin and Jayme Stewart, of Lewistown, MT, and Sarah and Sean Guslander, of Missoula, MT; her brother and sister in law, Kent and Donna Hauge, of Fergus Falls, MN. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Orley, of Lewistown.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Patsy. She was my cousin. We stayed with her parents when we went to Leith High School. Patsy had left home by that time, but she was a wonderful person who will greatly be missed by family and friends.
