Penny L. Foote, age 68, of Helena, passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at her home in Helena with her family by her side after a battle with cancer.
Penny was born May 5, 1943 in Butte, MT to Robert V. and Louise (Roe) Milliron. She graduated from Helena High School. Penny worked at Kmart for a number of years as a cashier and stocker. She then went to work as a custodian for the Helena Public School system for years.
Penny married Richard G. ‘Dick’ Foote, a U.S. Navy Veteran, on November 6, 1982 in Elko, Nevada. She was a devout member of the Helena Nazarene Church. Penny loved being with family and friends, especially camping, boating and playing cards. She enjoyed crocheting and doing crafts with her husband, Dick.
Penny is preceded in death by a brother, Gordon R. Milliron and she is survived by her parents, Robert V. and Louise (Roe) Milliron; and a sister, Viki Spencer.
Penny is also survived by her husband of 33 years, Richard G. ‘Dick’ Foote of Helena; children, Tom Dickinson, Bob Dickinson, Randy Foote, Ray Foote, Ross Foote, and Debbie L. Watson; grandchildren, Timothy Dickinson, Jesse Dickinson, Billy Dickinson Kipp, Robert Dickinson, Travis Watson, Tamra Foote, Shannon Foote, Durant Foote, and Cathryn Foote; and several great grand children.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the Helena Nazarene Church, 117 Valley Dr., with a reception to follow the service at the church. Burial will be held at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery, Ft. Harrison. Memorials in Penny’s name are suggested to the Helena Nazarene Church.
