Phyllis Elise (Taylor) Radnich, age 91, of Helena, passed away on March 3, 2014. Phyllis was born July 1, 1922 in Deer Lodge, Montana. She attended grade school and high school in Deer Lodge, graduating in 1940. After graduation Phyllis married Marion Hampton in 1943, they had one son Roy and later were divorced.
She worked for the J.C. Penny Store in Helena running the tube room. In 1967 she met the love of her life Steve Rains Radnich and they were married in 1969. After working at the J.C. Penny Store, Phyllis worked for American Federal Savings and Loan for a number of years, before taking a job with the Montana State Health Department in the T.B. Program.
Phyllis loved decorating her house for all the holidays and really went all out at Christmas.
She is survived by her husband Steve, son Roy and his wife Kathy, her grandson Keith and his wife Pam and her great grandsons’ Jordan and Conner Hampton. She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
A Visitation for Phyllis will be held at Anderson Stevenson Wilke F.H. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1260 Otter Rd., Helena, MT 59602.

I was Phyllis’s visiting teacher years ago. It was such a treat to visit her. She was so interesting and new everything about Helena. She was proud of her family. Loved visiting her home at Christmas time. She was a great lady. My the Lord bless you all.
