Ray Sr. was as much a dad, a teacher, a role model, and a friend to me as my own father was and he accepted me for me good, bad, or indifferent. From the time that Ray Ray, Dana, Martin, and me started our friendship big Ray was always there watching out for us and “quietly” guiding us (as if anything big Ray did was quiet….HUH? WHAT? OH COME ON SPEAK UP I CAN”T HEAR YAS!!!) When we were growing up and I am talking now about the five of us that became synonymous with each other Ray, Dana, Aaron, Bret, and myself I believe Ray Sr. was sometimes more eager to hear about what happened on our weekend to B.F.E. then we were to tell it. He love to relate to us with his own stories of his experiences and memories he had of when he was our age. And we love hearing them and seeing him tell a story and belting out words that we sometimes had no clue what they meant was exciting and funny and fun and it was just Ray Sr. being himself. I have many, many fond memories of Ray Sr. and Ma and Wendy, Holly, and Ray Ray from dinner table tension that bordered on fear to late night living room wrestling, to just hanging out and listening to him play guitar or tell a story while tossing back some whiskey he wasn’t suppose to be drinking I have many wonderful memories thanks to the old bohunk from Helena, Mt that I owe him a Thank you for. So I guess now is going to have to work although I should have done this in person, Thank you Ray Krenik Sr. for everything you gave me, taught me, and encouraged me to do and be I love you and I will miss you. Your other son Jerry Wayne Johnson.
