Reed, Darrell Lynn

Our beloved little brother and son went to be with his Lord and savior and to sing with the angels the praises of our Heavenly Father on August 15, 2012.

Darrell was born on September 30, 1963 to Margaret “Maggie” Reed (Homolka) and Ras William Reed. He was the youngest of four siblings (Harlan, Gary, and Kimberly). Darrell was a bright, happy go lucky, blue eyed child and adult. Darrell was very talented both artistically and musically. He used his artistic abilities in his profession as a barber, and at times, contractor. But his passion was writing songs and singing music for the Lord.

Darrell is preceded in death by his Father, Ras William Reed and Brother Harlan Dale Reed. We give Darrell back to our Father in heaven with sadden hearts, but rejoice knowing that he was a child of God and that he is his. Darrell will be greatly missed by his beloved daughter Katelyn Nichole Reed, Mother Maggie Homolka, Brother Gary and Sister-in-law Robin Reed, Sister-in-law, Kathy Reed, Sister Kimberly and Brother-in-law Steven Lane; Nephews, Michael, Daniel, Jason T., Jason Y., Harley, Nathaniel, Steven, Jayden, and Logan; Nieces, Genny, Michelle, Anquinita, Billie Jo, Renee, Malina, Heidi, and Holly.

A memorial service celebrating Darrell’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 23rd at the South Hills Baptist Fellowship in Clancy.
