Richard L. McPhee, 76, passed away on June 4th of unknown causes. He was born in Malta, Montana to Lorraine and George McPhee. He grew up and attended schools in Florence, Montana where he lettered in basketball and football. He married the love of his life, Josie, on August 2, 1974. Together they enjoyed dancing, camping, fishing and barbecuing with their family and friends.
“Dickster” loved his vegetable garden, the Montana Grizzlies and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. Dick was a master building contractor for over 50 years and left his mark on the city of Helena. He is remembered by his family and friends as kindhearted, generous, funny and loving.
He is survived by his wife, Josie; son, Ron (Barb); daughters, Rita (Dennis), Rachelle, Spring (Bill); daughters, Debbi (Russ), Tammy (Tedd), Jodi (Matt); son, Willie; sister, Myrna; numerous nieces, nephews and many grandchildren. Dick was a fifth generation grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine; father, George; brother, Dave and son, Rick.
