HELENA – Richard “Ric” Thomas Marble passed in peace on November 22, 2020 in Helena, Montana at the age of 75 after fighting a long battle of Diabetes.
He was born to Richard and Marion on January 27,1945 in Great Falls, Montana. He grew up and attended school there until he went to Kemper Military School in Columbia, Missouri to complete his High School graduation.
After graduating from Kemper, he returned to Great Falls and married his lifetime partner, Patricia on September 11, 1965. He was then drafted into the Army and both moved to Columbia, South Carolina to fulfill his enlistment. They returned back home to Montana and began their family of two children, Richard and Nadine.
A fourth generation Montanan, Ric loved all the beauty, history, and great qualities of this state. He did things his way and enjoyed his life by always trying to have fun. His life enjoyments were campfire stories, camping, fishing, mining and exploring every back-road just to see where they would lead. He loved every type of fishing. Ice, fly, trolling, jigging, or bait, he did them all and all over the state. His favorite fly-fishing spot was Rock Creek. Fishing it from Elkstroms to the Dahls, he walked many miles up and down that creek. His CB name was the “Royal Wolf”, his favorite fly.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, his rock of 55 years. Their two children and their spouses, Paula and Scott. His joys were his six grandchildren, Jacob, Kaytlin, Marcella, Steven, Bailey, and Annelise. His brothers, Guy and John, sister Susan and many nephews and nieces.
He was laid to rest at Fort Harrison in Helena, Montana on January 27, 2021.
