Richard Thomas Graham was taken from this earth to be with our Lord and Savior in heaven on July 9th, 2016. The tragic accident that took his life has left a large emptiness in the hearts of his family and the town of Boulder, MT.
Richard was born on September 24th, 1953 in Helena, MT. He attended school in Townsend, MT where he graduated high school. On July 22nd, 1978 Richard married Martha Turner of Helena and they moved to Boulder. They were blessed with 2 children, a son, David Mathew Graham and a daughter, Melissa Sue Smith. As a family they attended church services and helped with many community events.
Richard worked at the Montana Development Center in Boulder where he was a delivery driver and also did janitorial work. After many years of service for the center he retired and devoted himself to the Assembly of God Church. He was involved with many Bible studies and enjoyed many church camps. He and his wife Martha took a yearly camp trip to Hungry Horse for family camp. Many people will remember Richard for his willingness to help everyone who asked him, and for his smile and loving heart. He is missed and loved by many.
Welcoming Richard to heaven are his mother and father, Floyd and Marion Graham. His grandparents as well as an uncle and aunt.
Survivors include: his wife, Martha; son, David and Fiancée Ann Ashby; daughter Melissa Smith and granddaughter, Mindy Smith; brother, Floyd and wife Becky, of South Dakota; brother, Edward and his wife Wanda, of Townsend; his two sisters, Mary of Washington and Virginia of Helena; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Gloria Turner of Virginia, Jim and Vicki Turner, of Helena and Matt and Robert Turner, of Butte, Emily Turner of Idaho Falls, ID; there are also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
We thank everyone who attended and the entire community of Boulder. The support, love and prayers from everyone have been a blessing and source of strength for the family.
The family thanks Pastor Duane Weinmeister of the Assembly of God Church in Boulder and Randy Wilke of Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home for all they have done.

richard and i were good friends for many years as we worked at boulder at the same time. this makes my heart ache knowing the 3 of us wont be going to i hops for breakfast anymore. richard was definately a fighter. he beat cancer so many times. his faith kept him going. it hard to believe he is gone. he may be gone but never forgotten… i need your address so I can send you some money. i would rather do that than send flowers. i think the money will be more acceptable. thank god you are ok? god bless you dear and take care…

Richard, do you realize how much you are going to be missed in the Koinonia community?
You and Martha were always willing to give a hand and help where ever help was needed.
Your smile and the twinkle in your eyes will also be missed.
God speed, Richard.

What a great guy when we needed something moved downstairs a new washing machine or dryer and the old one brought upstairs to get rid of we would call him and he would come one sat the screen wouldn’t come open so he kicked it and it came open it was cool I saw it with my own eyes him and I tried to talk my mom into going for a ride on his motorcycle but she wouldn’t he told me he knew me since I was five years old he loved bugging my niece brooklin every chance he got and he would tell us stories about when he was growing up and all the trouble he got into and Martha would tell him to stop telling those stories but he didn’t when I first heard that he died I refused to believe it but when I found out it was true I just cried he was a great person. I will miss him terribly he beat a lot of things he was the greatest guy I knew no one will ever replace him.

I am sad to hear of Richard’s passing. We worked at Boulder River School at the same time. From time to time I would see him in Helena and we would chat. I hope that when I am gone I can be remembered the way I will always remember Richard- A Beautiful Smile.

Richard will be truly missed. We enjoyed visiting with him every time we could. Pastor Van VanDeventer asked to let you know he and Myrtle are very heartbroken that he is no longer on this world, but know he is in Heaven. Richard was a very special person. Please call if we can do anything for you.
Dave & Carolyn Robinson says
To Martha, we are so very sorry for your(our) loss. Richard loved you with all of his heart, thank God you will see him again in heaven.
To those reading this: Have you faith in Jesus Christ as had Richard? Have you put your “faith” in action as Richard did? Faith in Jesus the Christ, will save you the penalty of “your” sin!
