Robert A. Paasche, age 78, of Clancy

Robert Anders Paasche was born on October 13^th, 1944 in San Francisco CA to Norwegian immigrants Eilif Olaf Paasche and Inga Elise Paasche. He grew up with his older sister Pearl and older brothers Ed and Harold. After high school at the age of just 17 he signed up for the United States Air force and was shipped off to boot camp in December of 1961.

After completing basic training, he was stationed at Williams Air Force Base in Chandler, AZ. While stationed there in 1964 he met and fell in love with Cynthia DeBoer. They were married in June 26^th, 1965, a marriage that would last over 58 years. In 1966 they moved to Union City, CA, and two years later gave birth to their first child, Wendy. They went on to have 3 more boys, Robert, David and Steven.

Robert worked for California’s Public Utilities as a data processing manager for over 32 years, until October of 1998. After retirement, he and Cynthia moved to and fell in love with Montana. He spent the remainder of his life sitting out on his veranda enjoying the peacefulness of the Montana forest. Robert’s greatest joy came from being with his family and talking of the good times of the past. He especially loved babies and became the kindest and gentlest person when they were near.

Robert left us on the night of July 27^th, 2023. He passed from natural causes very peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by people he loved. He is proceeded in death by his parents Eilif and Inga Paasche, his siblings Pearl Allen, Ed and Harold Paasche, and his great granddaughter Sharon Marie Paasche who passed just a month and a half earlier. He is survived by his wife Cynthia Paasche, his daughter Wendy Liu, his sons Robert Paasche, David Paasche and Steven Paasche, along with 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
