Robert E. Elliott, age 89, of Helena

Bob passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 after a short illness. Bob was born in Rhodes, Iowa to Elton and Anna (Anderson) Elliott on September 26, 1927. He grew up in Lauderdale (Rose Hill) Minnesota. He attended Murray High School and the University of Minnesota. He served in the army after World War II. On March 25, 1950 Bob and Inez Jaekel were married in Mason City, Iowa. They were the parents of 5 children.

Bob was employed by Minnesota Highway Department in St. Paul, MN, Honeywell in Minneapolis, MN and Lockheed Missiles and Space Company in Sunnyvale, CA. He retired in January of 1984 to pursue his hobbies of fishing, hunting and traveling. He was a member of Valley View Lutheran Church in Helena, MT, the American Legion, Toastmasters for 50 years, Capital City Amateur Radio Club, Experimental Aircraft Association, and the Helena Flying Tigers.

Bob was preceded in death by a son, Hamilton, a brother, Lyle, and his parents. He is survived by his wife Inez, children; Ginger(Gregory) Morgus, Helena,MT, Pamela Worthy, Helena, MT, Gwendolyn (Joseph) Chui, Cupertino CA, John (Melora) Elliott, Belgrade, MT. Grandchildren; Jenny (Brad) Bomar, Helena, MT, Tyler (Laurie) Morgus, Newton, NJ, Sonya (Geoff) Horne, San Francisco, CA, Elizabeth (Jon) Hollander, San Francisco, CA, Alexander Worthy, Helena, MT, Arthur Worthy, Helena, MT, Joe (Leslie) Chui, Sunnyvale, CA, Jessica (Mike) Guyett, San Jose, CA, Benjamin (Crystal) Elliott, Redding, CA, Adam Elliott, Missoula, MT, and Celeste Elliott, Midvale, UT. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren; Joe and Charlotte Chui, Merrick Elliott, and Asa Hollander.

A Visitation will be on Thursday August 31, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM on at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, Helena, MT. The funeral service is Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11 AM at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, Helena, MT. A reception will follow the service in the Social Hall of the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will follow the lunch at Montana State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Harrison, Helena, MT. Memorials suggested to Valley View Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
