Robert Guy Millons went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 14, 2025. He was born to “Dutch” and Irene Millons on January 23, 1940. He attended school in Havre, Montana for the first eight years and then the family moved to Great Falls where he graduated from Great Falls High School. He attended Montana State University graduating with a degree in Civil Engineering. He joined the Army Corps of Engineers directly out of college, was stationed in Germany and achieved the rank of Captain. He married Marianne Carlson, and they had three boys. Guy Millons, Jeffery Millons and Robert Kai Millons. Jeff passed away December 6, 2016.
His career was mainly selling underground pipe in Hawaii. He loved his job and living in Hawaii. Eventually it was time to move stateside and back to his home state of Montana. Shortly after the move he was divorced.
Upon returning to Montana, he began his own business laying underground water and sewer pipe. In Helena, he met the love of his life, Mardi. They were married June 15, 1985, and were just short of their 40th wedding anniversary when he passed. He became stepfather to Mardi’s three children. Shaun Peterson, Tonya Peterson (deceased due to breast cancer at 35) and Jeff Peterson. His step kids loved him like a father. They had great respect and admiration for this outstanding man.
He and Mardi spent many years as snowbirds, going to Escondido, CA. They met many great new friends and they both enjoyed playing golf. Bob belonged to Green Meadow Country Club for many years but eventually left and joined Bill Roberts. He was an excellent golfer and at one time was a 3 handicap. He was the senior champion several times at his golf course in California.
Bob was an exceptional man. Strong in his faith in Jesus and an awesome husband to Mardi and father to all of his kids. He loved without judgement and never met a stranger. He was always gentle and kind.
He is survived by his wife, Mardi; sister, Donna Culpepper and nieces Leigh and Nikki; sons, Guy and Rob Millons; step-sons, Shaun (Ade) Peterson, Jeff (Jamie) Peterson; special family, Scott and Sandi McDonald; 11 grandkids and 7 great grandkids.
A memorial service celebrating Bob’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025 at South Hills Church of Christ, 2294 Deerfield Lane. A reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall of the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob’s name may be made to Orphans Life Line, 135 Kelly Road, Kalispell, MT 59901.

Sad loss of an old friend from many years ago. Did fun things together in high school with Bob and then Montana State College at the SAE house. Great times with many wonderful memories. Bob was a hard worker, a smart guy, a fun roommate and a good leader as president of the SAE house. SAE spring parties with Bob will always be remembered by me and Dody. Our love to all.
