Robert Herschel Graves, 75, of Helena, Montana passed away due to a long battle with cancer on May 27, 2011. He was born in Carthage, Texas on April 11, 1936.
Robert graduated from High School and attended some college. He worked and retired from the Lewis & Clark County Health Department in Helena as an Environmental Technician. He loved to travel.
He is survived by his wife and friend, Juanita Graves of Helena; sons, Rickey Joe (Beverly) Graves of Longview, TX and James Matthew Graves of Helena, MT; daughter, Regginia Anne (Mike) Ashley of Gilmer, TX; brothers, John Calvin Graves, Jr. of Bossier City, LA and Elmer Lee Graves of Shreveport, LA; as well as eight grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Robert’s name are suggested to the Hospice of St. Peter’s c/o St. Peter’s Hospital, 2475 Broadway, Helena, MT 59601. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date at Mount Bethel Cemetery in Carthage, Texas.
