Bob was a man of great faith and love. He loved God and his family and friends and then baseball. And he loved to visit!! I believe he died after watching a no hitter and rejoicing in the outcome (even the Yankees). I can hear him say about his passing: “Thy will be done…”. M

Bob was a wonderful addition to the Helena community and to the Cathedral of St. Helena Parish. Victoria and I got to know him by visiting after Sunday Mass and frequently running into him at Safeway. He would always ask about Carroll College and how we were doing during the pandemic and frequently expressed his support for Catholic education and his love for the Cathedral. He called me just last Monday to ask a question about the College and in the course of the conversation he mentioned how blessed he felt he was to be a member of the Cathedral of St. Helena Parish. Rest in peace, dear Bob! Blessings and condolences to your family and friends. John Cech, Ph.D., President of Carroll College
Emily McVey says
Bob was such a fun, outgoing, talkative character. He was an amazing asset on the board at the United Way. Board meetings will never be the same without Bob trying to work a Zoom meeting on his flip cell phone. No matter what event we hosted, we always knew Bob would be there in support. He was so much fun, talking and dancing and making new friends no matter the situation. Bob will be missed. Emily McVey
Michael Radice says
We are shocked by Bob’s passing. Having been a close neighbor to Bob and his family on Paisley Lane, and then continuing a close friendship as a Baseball teammate in the “Old Man” Over 40 Baseball league and beyond, I always enjoyed Bob’s zest for life, positive outlook and appreciation for friendships. All of his friends learned early-on that there were 3 very important priorities in his life, 1) Family, 2) Friends and 3) Faith. Baseball may have been a tie for 3rd! Talk about a reliable friend, Bob was the epitome of that. He never had a bad thing to say about anyone and always handled the hurdles he faced in life with a positive attitude. He simply liked EVERYONE and he will now take all if his wonderful attributes to that baseball diamond in the sky, Rest in Peace my wonderful friend, you will be tremendously missed. Mike Radice and Family

I am extremely saddened by this news. We became friends two years ago. On a daily basis he would always send me pictures of beautiful Helena. He was an exceptional man. Heart of gold. He lived his life to the fullest and appreciated every single minute of it. I will miss his daily phone calls and texts. Faith family friends. That’s what he told me. I will forever miss him.
