Robert “Bob” Lynn Hosfield passed away January 14th, at the age of 77. He was born in Great Falls, Montana on September 16th, 1945, to Madelyn and Jack Hosfield. Bob and his family moved to Glendive, Montana where he graduated high school, then he enlisted in the Army National Guard and served a total of 3 years. While serving in the Army, He pursued his education at Montana State University and completed his degree in Mechanical Engineering at Louisiana State University. During his career, Bob was able to travel to Scotland, England, and Alaska.
On May 3rd, 2008, Bob married Tammy Jo Hosfield in Deer Lodge, Montana. He ran his ranch in Sedan, Montana, where he and Tammy called home for over 40 years. Bob loved spending time with his Grandchildren and his dog. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and camping with his family and friends. He took up sky diving and was a member of the under 2000 club.
He is survived by his wife Tammy Jo Dahl- Hosfield, his daughters, Christina Hanson, Melinda Brelsford, Joann Knowles (Ryan), and Heather Brelsford; his Grandchildren, Taylor Needles-Hansen, Conner and Tanner Hansen, Alyssa Dahl, Harmoni Knowels, Ayden and Noah Knowels and Jessalynn Knowels; his Mother-in-law, Nancy Dahl and Father in-law, Wayne Dahl, and numerous cousins all over Montana and North Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his son, Royal Hosfield; Grandson, Jonathan Knowels; and his parents Madelyne, and Jack Hosfield.
Services will take place in Sedan, Montana in May. Details will be announced when they are complete.
