Robert (Bob) Moore Hudnall Jr. left the bounds of this earth on November 12, 2014.
Bob was born on July 31, 1932 in Las Animas, Colorado to Robert M Hudnall Sr and Esther A Hudnall. He was the Great Great Grandson of John Wesley Prowers and Great Great Grandmother Amy Amache Ochinee. Mr. Prowers was a well known Cattle baron and legislator in Colorado and Amache was the daughter of Lone Bear (one-Eye or Red Eye) Ochinee of the Southern Cheyenne Tribe and he was massacred at Sand Creek Colorado in 1864. Bob was extremely proud of his Southern Cheyenne ancestry.
Bob attended school in Forsyth, Montana and graduated from High School there in 1950. For a time he worked for his grandfather at the family business of Weber Chevrolet in Las Animas, Colorado. In 1952 he enlisted in the US Air Force and after Tech School he was assigned to Elmendorf AFB Alaska. While there he met his future wife Caroline and they were married in 1955.
After discharge he was employed by RCA Service Company and spent time in Miles City, Montana, England and Alaska. In 1967 he was employed at Northern Television and a few years later he became the Administrative Manager of the Greater Anchorage Area Borough, Public Works Department, later he formed a company, Morrison – Hudnall and was a manufacturer’s representative for lighting and other electronic products. From there he worked for Sears and also the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce.
Bob, was a member of Yellowstone Lodge #26 AF & AM, the Order of Eastern Star and was a life member of the BPOE, # 537 all in Miles City, Montana. He was also a member of Scottish Rite in Anchorage, Alaska. In Helena he was a member of the American Legion No. 2.
He is survived by his wife Caroline, his dogs Miss Amie, Wally and many friends in many places.
At his request there will be a Masonic funeral and a portion of his ashes will be interred at the National cemetery at Fort Harrison, Helena, Montana in spring and also a Southern Cheyenne ceremony will take place in SE Colorado, also in spring.

I was so sad to hear of Bob’s passing. I have so many great memories of working with Bob at the airport. We had so many laughs, and he was the example of a true gentleman. I have thought of you both over the years, and wish time had not slipped away that I could have had another chance to visit with him. We always liked to chat about England.
