Robert W. Disney was born in Anaconda, Montana on April 30, 1928, and was the middle child of three sons to Teresa and Frank Disney. After graduation from Missoula County High School in 1947, he enlisted in the Navy Reserve and also began working on a survey crew for the Montana Highway Department.
Bob served two tours of duty in Korea aboard the aircraft carriers USS Antietam and the USS Oreskany. Bob was awarded several ribbons and medals during his tours of duty.
While surveying in Lincoln he met and married Betty Lambkin Hahn and became dad to Greg and Cindy. Bob and Betty later divorced.
Bob retired from the Montana Department of Transportation in 1990 but continued doing right of way consulting work for three years here in Helena and also for a firm in Phoenix, Arizona. Complications from a stroke in 2005 caused Bob to permanently retire and enjoy life with his significant other, Patsy Huffman. They had a lovely yard and enjoyed entertaining family and friends.
Bob’s mother, Father, and oldest brother, Don, and sadly, Patsy this summer, preceded him in death. He is survived by Greg (Patti) Hahn, Cindy (Greg) Seitz, brother, Dick (Laura Jo), four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on January 11, 2014 at the American Legion, Post 2, 3095 Villard Ave, Helena.

I knew Diz for years, since the Nite Owl days, and Loved him like a special friend and a Dad.
He was a very thoughtful and caring man. We had a lot of wonderful times together that I
will treasure & think of often. We never got to go on our Alaskan cruise, but perhaps him &
Patsy can take one. My regret is that I couldn’t be there for him or Patsy for their last couple
Of months,as I was caring for my Mother with cancer. I will always cherish my memories of
that wonderful, wonderful man.
We had a lot of wonderful times together, that are now wonderful memories. When he
met Patsy, I had to chaperone for a while. Diz would call and away we would go. They
Would bring a pillow and blanket for me. He will be forever missed and thought of by
Avery and me and I’m sure by Ralph & Gabby also. So sorry for your loss Cindy & Greg
and Greg & Patti, our thoughts are with you. Stacie
