Rocky Roy Hanks
On the afternoon of March 19, 2025, Rocky passed away in Helena, Montana after succumbing to a battle with mental illness at the age of 38.
He was born in the town of Livingston, Montana on February 17, 1987 to Susan Elaine Jones and Roy Oscar Hanks Jr.
During the Autumn of 2014, he married Tayler Parrish of Chicago, Illinois. They were married in Livingston, Montana in Park County. They had two beautiful children together, Nevaeh Hanks (10) and Grayson Hanks (9). In 2016, they moved to Helena, Montana where Rocky found his passion for excavation.
Rocky will always be known for his on-the-move spirit, his ability to change lives, and his love for the mountains, where he spent his summers days with his wife and two children, sluicing the river for gold and memories. He had a love for life, always being the first to get a plan together, and making sure that each day was filled with a smile.
Rocky is survived by his wife Tayler Hanks, his children Nevaeh and Grayson Hanks, his mother Susan Jones, and his siblings: Cody Carter, Vanity Fleming, Patrick Hanks, Jeremy Hanks, Christopher Wilcox, Jacob Wilcox, Roy Hanks III, Joe Boerschig, Cecilia Flye. Also to include his closest mentors Jack Parrish and Don Eckhart, his many aunts and uncles, along with his nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
