Roger Allen Chandler, 41, of Helena, passed away at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, MT on August 17, 2011. He was born to Charles and Lois Chandler March 31, 1970 in Bremerton, WA.
He attended Syracuse University in New York. He married Brittany Chandler January 19, 2006 in Helena, MT. He worked as a Restaurant Manager at The Quarry Bar & Grille in Helena up until his death.
Roger was a loving, caring, compassionate person who always had time for family and friends. He was always upbeat and had the most memorable laugh and smile that always lit up the room when he came in. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his family.
His is survived by his wife, Brittany Chandler; children, Stephanie Chandler (21), Brandon Chandler (11), Riley Chandler (5), and Trevor Chandler (3); parents, Lois Mitchell and step-father, Duane; brothers, Donald Chandler and Herbert (Will) Chandler; sister, Angela Beissel; aunts, Candace Banks, Janyce Heath, and Cathy Spence; uncles, Jerry Heath, Herbert Heath, and Darrell Heath; as well as numerous cousins and an extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Chandler.
Visitation will begin 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20th with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home. A funeral service celebrating Roger’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21st at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. A reception will be held in the Holiday Inn Downtown immediately following the service. An Educational Fund for Roger’s children will be established at Valley Bank 3030 N. I’m so sorry for your loss. I live here in Helena and the cops did the same thing to my son although they did not kill him. Please call me i’m trying to press charges on the HPD for brutality.
