Roger James Darling, age 70, of Helena, MT was born on December 11, 1943, in Casper, Wyoming to Edward and Pearl Darling. He was raised for most of his life in Hotsprings, South Dakota. He peacefully went to be with the Lord in Helena, Montana on November 27, 2014.
Roger introduced three beautiful children into this world, starting with Roger Jr. on July 23, 1965, Keyanna on September 12, 1967, and Roxanna. He loved and cherished them dearly.
Roger enjoyed many different activities and was a very talented jack of all trades. He loved to play his guitars and sing which he was very good at. He loved to play pool and was in many leagues. Some considered him a “pool shark” with his diamond inlayed pool stick. Roger had a passion for truck driving that started at a very young age. That passion grew bigger and bigger every year of his life. He would have been driving till the moment he left this world if it was his choice.
Roger joined the Army on January 18, 1961, serving with the 85th QM Co. for a three year term.
On July 5, 1991 Roger took the hand of Patty for and has spent the past 23 years with her.

John Holbrook says
I am so very sorry for your loss, Darling family. Jim was my brother in law for over 20 years, we had lots of fun during that time. Jim was always really good to my parents, he was just a good guy, especially to Mom after Dad died. I always lived several hours drive from them and Jim did lots of stuff for them I should have been doing, had I been closer. Circumstances has separated us lately but I will miss him and I am honored to have known him. R.I.P. my friend.
