Born on a bright beautiful Sunday morning April 28, 1985, to Patti and Rick Robertson, at Columbus Hospital in Great Falls MT. Ross was a spitfire full of energy and strength from the beginning. He started running at 9 months old and never quit. At an early age he showed his Athletic ability starting in T-Ball, soccer, baseball, basketball, track, and his favorite football (Go Griz). He played both offensive guard and inside/outside linebacker throughout his Capital High School football career. He achieved in 2003 1st Team All-Conference Linebacker and 1st Team All-State Linebacker.
Ross a devout Catholic his first love is God our Heavenly Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ attending St. Francis Xavier faithfully, in addition loved to attend other surrounding Catholic masses.
Ross started schooling at St. Joseph Catholic School in Missoula, finished elementary at Kessler, Junior High at C. R. Anderson, and graduate from Capital High School. Most recently attended the University of Montana. He was intelligent and excelled in academics.
Ross was blessed with a large extended family due to the fact his parents divorced when he was a baby. His mother Patti married Dan Jacques who raised Ross as his own son. His father Rick Robertson married Maggie. Ross loved all his brothers and sisters Darci (John)Kolsch, Krisi (Jason)Shuman, Cade Robertson, Jenny (Todd)Moore, Callie (Brian Arnold) Jacques, and Thayer Jacques. Ross was dedicated to attending as many as possible academic, athletic, and music events, for his cousins, nephews (great nephews) and nieces (great nieces).
Griz Football games were the highlight of his life with his dad Dan and brother Thayer – mom Patti was the tag-a-long. Ross had the privilege throughout his life of traveling to Alaska, Canada, Caribbean, including at least visiting 19 other States. Ross loved doing his annual trips with mom Patti and dad Dan to various Hot Springs and National Parks. Ross’ favorite was Lava Hot Springs Idaho in the 112-degree Fahrenheit pool. He was blessed to attend a Rose Bowl game, Fiesta Bowl, Seattle Mariner game, a couple of Griz National Championship games, spring training in Arizona, couple of Arizona Cardinal Football games during Christmas season, and the Phoenix Suns games. In addition, He loved and enjoyed his hunting, fishing, and camping trips with his dad Rick, grandpa Bob, his uncles, aunts and cousins, and the many excursions from Alaska to the cabin on the Smith River.
Ross loved to go to the Jacques Family cabin at the Gates of the Mountains. He helped built his family cabin with the help of dad Dan, mom Patti, brother Thayer, Uncle Vern Buckley, cousins Glenn and Gerrad Michaud, and sister Krisi and brother-in-law Jason Shuman. In addition, Ross and his friend R.C. Pearce doing landscaping where both were blessed with the name snake eye as neither one of them could make a straight line placing the rock boulders on the property line.
Ross had a great work ethic and started at young age working for dad Dan by placing A-1 Rental stickers on all equipment and working his way up to equipment maintenance man and front desk jockey. At the end of his senior year, he spent a summer working for his dad Rick building bridges for Sletten Construction, then went off to attend the University of Montana. He came back to Helena worked for the Independent Record in the equipment press room, Van’s Thriftway in produce, moved back to Missoula and had worked as property maintenance person for Winds of Change in Missoula MT.
Ross had a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. His close friend Tom Wood and him would send hours in discussions of all subjects and theology. He was blessed to have Tom in his life as a friend – a gift from God. In addition, his friends Robert and Charles always encourage him.
Ross was blessed to spend time with his Uncle Gary and Aunt Karen Atwell at their home in Great Falls. His Aunt Pam and Lavern Buckley always share meals together. Aunt Lori and Uncle Del Dearen with the custom-made Fly Rod Uncle Del made to catch the big one. His cousin Desiree and Glenn Michaud family annual Thanksgiving dinners. His sister Krisi and Jason Shuman’s football discussions. All his family and extended family give him love and prayers.
In his early adult years, he started fighting the battle against the illness that took over his life, and only through God our Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ was Ross able to accomplish as much as he did in the brief period while here on earth. Our family appreciates and thanks all the people that showed kindness and helped our Ross be successful. Thank you. God Bless All.

Ross is survived by his Mother Patti and Dad Dan Jacques, Dad Rick and stepmom Maggie Robertson, brothers and sisters Darci (John)Kolsch, Krisi (Jason)Shuman, Cade Robertson, Jenny (Todd)Moore, Callie (Brian Arnold) Jacques, and Thayer Jacques. Including numerous Aunts, Uncles, nephews (great), nieces (great), cousins and extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers give to charity of choice, NAMI-Helena, Winds of Change for patients needs Missoula, local Homeless and housing, and local Food charities.
Celebration of Life at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home Tuesday June 25, 2024, at 3 pm reception to follow Helena MT. Catholic Funeral Mass Tuesday July 30, 2024 at noon at Cathedral of St. Helena, committal service at burial Resurrection Cemetery, no reception after.
