Roy Oscar Adolf Sauer
April 26, 1934 – August 8, 2020
Roy was born in Venedy Village, Illinois to Herbert G. Seifert and Hilda Brockman Seifert on April 26, 1934 Together they had four children, Delores (Kitchen), Charles, Pearl (Chew) and Roy. His father was killed in the Venedy Coal Mine in February 16, 1935. His Mother remarried to Ben F. Sauer in 1938 and Ben adopted Hilda’s four children. Together Ben and Hilda had a daughter Joyce (Geraghty).
Roy served in the U.S.A.F in Amarillo, TX, San Antonio TX, and Reno, NV. and retired in Reno.
Roy married Velma McMahan in May 1956 and had two Boys. Benny C. and Mark A., they divorced in October 1959.
Roy remarried to Frances Agnes Keefer in March 1960 and raised two step-children, Stephen E and Cynthia G. Keefer and had one son, Roy T. Sauer. They divorced in 1986.
He is survived by all his children and their spouses, his grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandchild, his sister Joyce and sister-in-law Laverne. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.
Roy resided in Illinois, Missouri, Texas, Nevada, Montana and Florida. He lived out his days where he loved the most, Montana.
Cremation will be done by Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home and remains laid to rest in Ft. Harrison VA Cemetary.
