Sandra “Sandy” Jean (Organ) Marcinek, 67, of Helena, MT passed away on July 02, 2023 in her home due to health complications. Sandy was born Feb 20 1956 to Lester and Zella (Rumsey) Organ in Anaconda MT. Sandy came from a large family of 8 brothers and sisters; Leslie, Glen, Douglas, Raymond “Max”, Bonnie, Connie, Jenny, and Kenneth “Kenny”.
Sandy grew up in and around the Anaconda/Deer Lodge area where she graduated from Powell County High School in 1974. After graduating Sandy moved around, finally settling in Helena and starting a family. The highlight of her fifteen year marriage to John Marcinek was their son, Jason, who was her everything. Family was paramount to Sandy, and grew more so with Jason’s marriage to Dawn and the birth of each of his children. She loved taking trips, her favorite being along the Oregon Coast and visiting her Grandparents while they were alive.
Sandy had a “Spirited Independence”, and was strong willed and stubborn at times. She had an enormous heart, and a wonderful sense of humor. Her strength helped her deal with life’s challenges every day. She was a fun spirited soul; her smile would light up the whole room. Sandy took on many passions, especially her lighthouses and the beautiful, serene, comfort of the ocean. She enjoyed taking time with her thoughts and emotions and expressed it through her cherished poetry. Sandy’s prayer group at St. Cyril and Methodius Church were a wonderful source of support and love for which she was so grateful.
Sandy had a combination of warmth, charm, humor, grace, and talent. She excelled with anything she put her mind to. Her knowledge of math and joy in reading led her to careers that utilized her wisdom. She always believed “If you do your best that will always be good enough”.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Zella; brothers Leslie, Glenn, and Max, and her granddaughter Justine. Her beloved dogs, Kleo, Daisy, Toby, Tyler, Brookie, and Kayla. She is survived by her son Jason, his wife Dawn, and their children Camden (Austin) Brooks, Jet, and Riley. She is also survived by her stepmother Barbara Bengston, brothers and sisters Doug, Bonnie, Connie, Jenny (Mark), Kenny, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all the people she touched along the way.

Dear Jason and Family – I first met your mom in 1989 when I joined the Sts. Cyril & Methodius Tuesday Morning Prayer Group. It was the start of 34 years of friendship with 7 amazing women and their families. Our group is scattered all over the nation but we still get together. I know Sandy enjoyed seeing everyone. Sandy was very spiritual and especially loved nature, animals and the ocean. We had the opportunity to have a lot of adventures over the years. Although in recent years her health limited her travel, she still enjoyed the time she spent with family and friends. I will miss our weekly phone calls. It is so appropriate that you scheduled her memorial service on a Tuesday, as Tuesday is the day our prayer group used to meet. Rest in peace my friend.

Jason,
I am just now seeing that your Mom passed away. I am beyond sad to see this! I worked with Sandy for many years at MHESAC/SAF. She was such a fun loving spirit and I enjoyed all my visits with her. After she left SAF, whenever I saw her she always asked about my family and remembered everything about all of us! She was always so proud you and your kids.
Rest in Peace Sandy!

We are so sad to see that our friend Sandy has passed away. Sandy went to school with me when she lived in Elliston and then when she lived in Deer Lodge we met again at High School. We had mostly been friends onface book these last few years but had managed to meet for coffee a few times. She was a very sweet person always and we are so sorry for your loss. May she Rest In Peace.

Sandy was just one of those gals that always stopped you with her smile and kind words….. oh yah and a giggle or two. I, too reconnected with her via FB. She was truly one of a kind! I hope and pray that you always know she is with you everyday. Just tuck her into a special place in your heart ♥️. God Bless her and her beautiful family.

Sandy always had a smile on her face, and a sunny disposition, even in light of her health problems. She was a faithful member of the Tuesday Morning Prayer Group (TMPG) and also joined in on our many outings and travel when she could. Sandy, I am so sorry for the suffering you endured in your last few years, and I know you’re enjoying perfect health now. Blessings and Godspeed to a good and faithful servant. And my condolences to all of Sandy’s family.

Sorry for the loss of your mom! Just seeing this and my heart broken! Met your mother when she worked for Golden Title in missoula, helped her in the office and my husband and I repossessed cars for and with her! We became friends lost contact when she moved to Belgrade but reconnected when we moved to Belgrade and ran into each other and found out we were living in the same subdivision! We stayed in contact when she moved. I knew she was having medical issues but she would not say much about what exactly was going on. She has been a great friend and has sent many prayers my way for my brain cancer and lots of messages of support. She will be very missed!
