Sandra Graber Toney, 68, of Helena, Montana, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, following surgery.
Born on May 2, 1957, in Conrad, Montana, Sandra was the beloved daughter of Donald and Nina (Sheppard) Graber. She was raised in East Helena on Pacific Street, where she spent her childhood next to the creek and skating rinks. A graduate of Capital High School, Sandra devoted her life to her home and family as a dedicated homemaker.
Sandra had a deep love for animals—especially dogs—and delighted in collecting Barbies, interesting clocks, and whimsical salt and pepper shakers. She found great joy in giving thoughtful gifts to those she loved, especially the Watne children, whom she loved as her own.
Despite enduring numerous medical challenges, Sandra remained courageous and resilient, always surrounded by those who loved her. In her final days, she received compassionate care at Benefis ICU and passed away peacefully with family by her side.
She is survived by her husband, Dana Toney, of Helena; stepson, Ryan Toney (Ashley) of Nevada; father, Donald Graber, of Helena; siblings, Nate Graber and Diana Graber Hawbaker Tavary (John Tavary), both of Helena; uncle, Joel Graber, of California; several cousins from Montana and Chicago; and many, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nina Graber, on October 1, 1991.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to:
– Steve Roberts, for his help with Sandra’s yard.
– Shelly Powell, her dearest friend, for her unwavering support.
– Judah and Boaz, for lovingly shining her beloved Black Lincoln MKX.
– Ashley from Melaques Restaurant, for her extraordinary care and kindness
At Sandra’s request, no memorial service will be held.
