Sandra “Sandi” Rae Crocker, 69 years old, Joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in Helena, Montana. She passed away suddenly from health complications.
Sandi was born on August 31, 1955, in Topeka, Kansas, to John and Rosemary Crocker. She was the second oldest of 5 kids, and she was adored by her sister and brothers!
Right from the beginning Sandi had the most beautiful and contagious smile! As a child, she was always in charge of making buttered popcorn for movie night at the outdoor theatre with family. She treasured her family and loved spending many visits with her grandparents listening to everyone with her father playing guitar and singing. This was one of her most cherished times and fondest memories.
Shortly after graduating from Helena High School in 1973, Sandi began working as a Computer Operator/Support Specialist for the State of Montana – ITSD and never looked back. The relationships and bonds she created with her coworkers, with over more than 30 years of service, meant the world to her. She always said they were her “work family” and maintained many of those relationships up until the very end. Sandi proudly retired from the State of Montana in June of 2010 but continued to work doing samples with her sister Pam, volunteering at local nursing homes and always lending a helping hand to various organizations around Helena.
Sandi was known for her ability to smile and laugh through it all. In fact, one might say laughing was one of her favorite things to do! Sandi possessed the most profound and beautiful perspective on life, always finding love and joy with everything and everyone. She also shared the best hugs and embrace making anyone feel instantly better no matter what was going on. Her love for animals was almost unmatched and had many of them throughout her life for which she cared deeply for. She had a passion for crafts, scrap booking, and coloring and would spend hours on end creating the most beautiful masterpieces to share. She knew almost every oldie song that would come on the radio; the words – the artist – the title – and when it came out. She could spend days on end listening and singing to about every song, but her absolute favorite were The Beatles! Sandi spent many times on random adventures with her sister Pam often leading them to new places and friendships along the way. Sandi was a free-spirited friend to all; full of beauty and grace, never one to be mad, hateful or hold a grudge (unless it was about her Pacifica) and will be one of the most wonderful guardian angels for all that she knew.
She was preceded in death by her Father John W. Crocker in 2011, her Sister Pamela Brown in 2017 (Brother in-law Charles 2013), her Mother Rosemary Crocker in 2019, her aunt for whom she cared for Elizabeth “Betty” Feldmeier in 2024, and her young Niece Cassie Rae Crocker in 2016; and other beloved Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends alike.
She is survived by: her three brothers, Craig (Jodi) Crocker of Newport, WA, Mike (Vikki) Crocker of Great Falls, MT and Steve (Debbie) Crocker of Spokane, WA; Along with many beloved Nieces, Nephews and Cousins, too numerous to mention.

A special thanks to the wonderful staff at Cooney Healthcare & Rehabilitation, they weren’t just amazing – they felt like family. In addition, a thank you to St. Peter’s Hospice. We cannot thank you enough for the care and consideration you showed Sandra while she was in your care!
Sandi didn’t just see the good in others, she made everyone around her be better! She gave with all her heart, expecting nothing ever in return. She loved hard and deep, cherished the moments she had with others, and thanked the Lord for every day. Through even the hardest times, she found the good in any situation. When she said “I love you and smiled” you didn’t just know it, you felt it! Our family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of Love, Prayers, Hugs, and Support from far too many people to name individually. “I love you Chief-O, forever your Tiger!”
