Shirley Ann Olson (Warila) passed away on July 12,2023. She was 85.
Shirley was born on July 4th, 1938, in Red Lodge, Montana to Toiro Warila and Mary Vanderoos. She was the middle child of seven. She was raised in Butte, MT and graduated in 1956 from Butte Catholic High School.
Shirley and Harold Olson married on July 20, 1957. They welcomed Tracey Ann, Harold Leonard, and Nancy Lee Leddige to the family. In 1967 the family moved to East Helena, MT and Mom and Dad later divorced.
Mon had many interests and hobbies. She liked to go for walks, watch old movies, westerns. Liked puzzle books, reading, cross stitch, and jigsaw puzzles. She liked animals, birds, and watching the dog shows.
She is survived by three children, a sister Maxine Pearson (91) from Warrensburg, Missouri and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brothers, Bill, Bob, Barbara, Gary and Sharon and aunts and uncles, and her ex-husband Harold Olson.
Cremation has taken place and there won’t be any memorial services. Her ashes were scattered out in the mountains.
She was a mom, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. “All babies are cute” as she would say.
She will be missed dearly. Love you mom.
