My heart is heavy with this news. My heart-felt condolences go out to the Family. Sondra was a most important part of my life. A woman whom I Loved and Admired. She was such a great hard charger, hard worker, unselfish, warm and caring person. I have been Blessed to have Sondra in my life. She may now breathe freely and look down upon us from Heaven.

My mom was the most caring person, to a fault at times but I always admired her ways. I can not express in words the pain of losing her. She was my best friend since the day I was born till her last breath. I am honored to have been such a big part in her life and I am truly blessed to have had her guide me to help me grow into who I am. I miss her every single day.

I was Sadened to the core when i read about Sondras passing, Her and i were friends back in the 90s when we both lived in Everett Wa. We spent most of our time playing cards at our friend Teri’s And we played cards for HOURS. Hell sometimes days at a time. Lol those were some good times we had, im glad ive got those memories. Tidonna, Charlie & Jody my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sondra was a smart, strong woman with the most fierce love for her children of any Mama I know! I felt her warmth the first time I met her when Jody was 9 I think. Sondra made me always remember parents aren’t perfect but our love is endless through it all. I loved her quietness and gentle smile. She will be missed and know that she was loved! My condolences to all of you.

I wish I had searched for this page much sooner. It is now over a year since Sondra moved on to the next life, world, etc. Now she knows The Secret of what is next. My deepest sympathy and empathy go out to Charlie, Jody and Tidonna. My heart deeply hurts for her brother Don Gilbert. His Sister was his everything. That is how I came to know Sondra. Don Gilbert & I Spent 8 yrs together. Sondra was the most positive influence that I ever met on this planet. She was selfless. She helped anyone who was in need. She is surely missed by the homeless population in Las Vegas. She always gave to the homeless. In the summer she would go and buy cases and cases of bottled water, then she would come to Don and I and ask if we wanted to go out on Sunday (we knew what that meant). We always said yes. Then we would gear up and drive around to the different places that the homeless had colonized at and we would walk from camp to camp giving water out. Of course, Sondra could not do the walking, but Don & I could. Sondra did the driving. One Christmas, Sondra took her bonus check and purchased sleeping bags and socks, she made homemade fudge, and made individual packages. Each package included a sleeping bag, 2 pairs of socks, a few pieces of fudge, and a Christmas card from Santa. It was very cold that Christmas Day, but Sondra wanted her gift to be, that the packages get delivered to the homeless. Don & I & Sondra set out in the morning to deliver the packages, I believe there were about 25 of them. It was rewarding and fun. When we had finished, she disclosed to Don & I that each Christmas Card had any denomination from $5 – $20 cash inside. What a beautiful woman she was. Also she was so non judgemental. She figured that once she gave them that money, it was their money, & whatever they spent it on was their own business. She would say “Whatever gets them through the day.” I Loved This Woman With All of My Heart and Soul. I sometimes want to call her to hear her voice, but I can not, at least not in real time, but I certainly have ALL good memories of her in my heart. RIP My Lady. You Are Truly Missed.
