In Memory Of

Terri J. Wall, age 54 of Helena

April 3, 1964 – September 29, 2018

Terri Jo Fetty DeHart Wall (54) of Helena MT, met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 1:45 PM on September 29, 2018. Terri was born April 3, 1964 in Helena to Charles Fetty and Yvonne Delveau Fetty Moody. Terri had a wonderful childhood growing up south of town in a home built by her father. In 1982, she graduated from Helena High School.

In August of 1984 she married Kevin DeHart, they lived a blessed life until his passing in 2004. On April 8, 2006 she joined Brett Wall in marriage, together they resided in a house on the westside of Helena.  She grew to love their home and it was not uncommon to find Terri sitting enjoying the peacefulness of the backyard, smelling the fresh air filled with garden flower aroma and listening to the birds.  Tending to the pear tree was a proud achievement, especially the bumper crop of 2017.

Terri was a hard worker, she held 5 jobs right out of high school. Employment with Blue Cross Blue Shield was from 1988 to 2004 finishing as a computer programmer.  She later worked for the Department of Labor & Industry from 2009 to 2017 finishing as a Database Analyst. Terri retired in 2017 with the logic of “if she could afford to retire she couldn’t afford not to” and “she could get another job but not another mother or father”, to spend more time with family.

After Terri’s mother had a stroke in 2015, she diligently watched over her mother’s affairs, loving and honoring her mother. Terri’s father has been a snow-bird for many years and lived with Terri during the summer months. Terri referred to her father as her “recreational assistant”!

Her lovely sense of humor, puns, intuition and discernment of the spirit truly were special gifts for all her family and friends. She was a bright and energetic person who could joke about most anything. She loved the beauty of the outdoors, spring and autumn were her favorite seasons. Childhood memories included picking wildflowers with her grandmother, she favored shooting stars and always said “save some for seed”! Delivering flowers on May Day to her grandmother was an annual event. She loved animals, raised and performed with horses and especially loved her dogs.

Terri recently mentioned she had the “best summer ever” playing on 30 golf courses in Montana and she played golf with her dad and friends one week before her passing. This summer Terri started swimming, loved to bowl and even recently was enjoying pickle ball with a dear friend. Her motto was “whoever has the most fun wins”! Brett and Terri enjoyed traveling together, visiting multiple states in the US, took a couple cruises and ventured into Mexico and Canada.

Terri served locally, just 10 days before her passing she baked frosted sugar cookies for God’s Love Homeless Shelter, making the statement “they bring back my childhood memories, maybe they will for someone else”. She gave to Joyce Meyer Ministries where meals are provided, efforts to reduce human trafficking, helps with disaster relief and broadcasts the Gospel in 90 countries. Terri’s love for God’s kingdom was very evident through her thoughtfulness and giving nature. Terri was also a leader and favorite hostess in her “Jesus Sisters” bible study.

Terri is preceded in death by Jack and Neva Delveau, grandparents; Riley and Gertrude Fetty, grandparents; Kevin DeHart, husband and Tina Fetty, sister. Survivors are Charles Fetty, father; Yvonne (Vern) Moody, mother; Brett, husband; Tammi, sister; brothers Tod and Travis (Nanette); numerous loved nieces, nephews; and beloved dog Austin aka “Austin Powers International Dog of Mystery”.

A service celebrating Terri’s life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 27th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave.  A reception will follow the service in the social hall at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to one of the following or charity of your choice: Helena Food Share, Lewis & Clark Humane Society, Helena Horse Rescue, God’s Love Homeless Shelter or www.joycemeyerministries.com.

Uncle Chuck, Tod, Travis, Tammi and Aunt Vonnie,
I am so very sorry for our loss of Terri! We had fun
together when we were kids. I remember when Terri
and I caught a little live mouse in a box and brought it
upstairs. All the women were yelling and getting on
chairs. It was funny for the both of us. Good memories
like this will keep her close in our hearts. She was a
sweetheart that was taken way to early in life. GOD
certainly has a beautiful angel now. Love all of you
Thoughts and prayers for you as you mourn

  15. Beth Rolfe says

    October 7, 2018 at 10:29 am

Terri was a rare and beautiful person, inside and out. She radiated Jesus. Some of my best memories in my early adulthood included long drives in the car and amazing conversations with Terri, spending sweet evening hours in her home with our “Jesus sisters” Bible study group and watching Hallmark Christmas movies, just the two of us. My heart is divided, in part because I am so excited that Terri is with the Lord and in perfect wholeness, but equally saddened because I know how deeply she is missed by all of us who have the pleasure of counting her as our dear friend and sister in Christ. One of my most treasured pieces of artwork is a painting of an iris that Terri made especially for me. It has sat on my dresser for a few years now and I look at it every day.

We love you, Terri! You will not be forgotten

    With much love,

    October 23, 2018 at 8:56 pm

I am so grateful that Terri (and Lisa) and I were able to get together this summer for a visit. Terri had so much fun setting up our gathering place and wearing her “Hawaiian” shirt! We enjoyed reminiscing about old times and were talking about a get together out in Seattle in the coming months.
We were in choir together in school and I imagine Terri is in the choir up above too.
Terri, you will be missed terribly and I look forward to when we meet again in Heaven!
    Love you lots,
    Cindy
To Terri’s family and many friends, I am speechless for our loss. My heart is with you, as are my prayers.
