Sending condolences to all of Ted’s family. All 4 of our children grew up with Ted as their bus driver and I worked at the Peerless school as a cook and he was always such joy to have around. If anything went wrong in the school all a person needed to do was call on Ted and he was there to take care of it. We will always remember him and know he was a good friend. Rest in Peace Ted.

To all of Ted’s family: I am so sorry for your loss. Ted was my good friend, as I live in Peerless and worked with him for years while the Peerless school was open. He was always helping out with anything that any of us at the school needed. When my class got a mini greenhouse, Ted installed wheels on it so that we could move it around the room. He dug out a “PHS” flowerbed on the front lawn so that we could plant our marigolds in it each spring. And he watered them and trimmed around them all summer so that everyone who drove by could enjoy them. I learned a lot of gardening tricks from Ted through the years. All of us at Peerless will miss him. He was a good man.

I’ll miss you Ted. My first and best boss. I’ll remember you always for teaching me so much stuff from woodworking to stripping floors, and occasional gopher hunting on the job 🙂 Takes an amazing guy to take his time with a young man to teach him about the finer things in life.

Janet, Debbie, Wayne, Darryl, and Mike (and Penny and Craig). Sorry for your loss, wish I could be there with you today. Growing up with you as my brothers and sisters is an incredible collection of memories I wouldn’t trade for anything. Ted was a good man, he taught me many of the skills I use in everyday life. Seems like there wasn’t much he couldn’t do, from rebuilding a transmission to stamping out a decorative leather belt. I feel so lucky to have been able to grow up on the farm and learn from him.
I am sure it was quite a chore to keep all 8 of us kids occupied, and keep the farm running. I remember so many trips to Cooney Dam, waterskiing, so much time spent hunting, fishing, target shooting, reloading. We may just hold the record for the family that has consumed the most deer jerky ever!
I am very thankful to have grown up with Ted and all of you. I always thought I was the oldest kid in the family, but looking back on how much fun Ted always had with us and his seemingly endless energy, maybe I was just the second oldest kid in the family 🙂 Love you all.
